Doing this pic brought back many fond memories. This character was from the series "Rocko's Modern Life," a Nicktoons show in the early 90's, and was the mail carrier that Rocko fell in love with. I used to love this show; it had humor for all ages, including adults.

The show was filled with double entendres, innuendos, and satirical social commentary, that would easily fly over the heads of children, yet give the parents and adults something to chuckle about. They certainly flew over my head as a kid, that's for sure. It also displayed "Slap-stick" humor which caught more of the children's attention, and mine.

Back then, cartoon shows had a certain quality and charm that rarely shows in today's cartoons, with a few exceptions, (i.e. MLP:FiM, Thank you Studio B, you guys are brilliant geniuses.) Sometimes I wish they could bring back the classics; Rugrats, The Ren & Stimpy Show, Doug, CatDog, Rocko's Modern Life, and so on. *sigh* I feel old...

Anyways, when I got this request, I was more than happy to draw it, even if only for nostalgia sake.
