As such, she protects them from the dark influences of sinister, evil spirits.
In this particular case, Meissa had lost her life due to an unfortunate accident and awoke, confused, disoriented, and frightened. Sinister spirits sought to corrupt her spirit and turn her to their dark purposes, but thankfully, Artailea was there to offer her comfort, protection, and shelter as the newly made Wraitheon learned about her new afterlife as the Ghost-type that she'd become.
