The Rise of Entropy Part 2

Franklin stood still, laying on his back on the small bed in the Restoration’s nursery while Grenda, the Restoration’s official nurse who had been in service ever since the war, checked him out. The tall, muscular cow touched his body in several places, asking him if it hurted, then she wired him to a few electrodes and had him take an EEG, meanwhile Sonic and friends watched the operation unfold.
-I don’t like this… I don’t like this at all…- muttered Shadow, arms folded on his chest as he scowled at the professor, finding his calm off-putting for a future supervillain.
-So? What was I supposed to do, slam the door in his face? He came here and asked for help, Shadow. This is what we do, we help people.- said Sonic, huffing at his archrival’s behavior.
-Have you not listened to Silver? He’ll become a threat bigger than any we have ever faced. He has to be dealt with now, before it’s too late.- Shadow grunted.
-Sonic… I don’t think Shadow’s wrong…- said Knuckles, scoffing.
-I mean… Silver described him as a monster, hellbent on destroying us all… How can we trust him?- he asked. Sonic sighed, it was not a good thing when one of his friends doubted him.
-I’ll tell you how, Knux.- said Amy, going next to Sonic.
-By trusting Sonic.- said the pink hedgehog, hugging Sonic’s side, joined by Tails.
-Lil’ bro… Ames…- Sonic smiled.
-Trust is not everything. We need to be intelligent about this.- huffed Shadow as his teammates and Knuckles joined him in doubting Franklin.
-He ain’t wrong, Sonic…- huffed Knuckles.
-Guys, c’mon… I know we’re all nervous about this, but this won’t help. We need to stick together.- said Sonic. Then, against all odds, Silver sided with Sonic, something that left the others baffled.
-Silver…?- asked Rouge, confused.
-...He’s right.- said the psychic hedgehog, prompting Blaze to join Sonic’s side.
-Did you… Did you just back me up, Silv?- asked Sonic, as shocked as the others.
-Yes, because I too believe in giving someone a second chance.- said the ivory hedgehog, nodding.
-Are you insane?! He’s your enemy! How can you trust someone like him?!- Shadow grunted.
-He’s not my enemy yet. We have a shot at changing the future here. Change it for the better. If we can keep him from becoming evil, then it’ll be one menace less to fight.- Silver replied, folding his arms.
-It was one of the main reasons I traveled back in time, after all. To prevent him from becoming Entropy. I was too late to save his wife, but I won’t give up on him. I can’t…- said the future hero, sighing and looking at him from the window.

The two sides squared each other up for a moment before Shadow let out a huge sigh of disappointment.
-...You’re making a huge mistake…- hissed Shadow, narrowing his eyelids.
-We’ll take our chances.- said Amy, hugging Sonic’s arm.
-...Pft. Whatever. Don’t come running to me when it’ll blow on your face. Let’s go, Team Dark.- Shadow grunted, leaving with Rouge and Omega.
-Sorry, guys…- Rouge sighed as she left.
-TRUST-IS-SUCH-AN-ORGANIC-PROBLEM…- muttered Omega as he went with his friends. Knuckles didn’t say a word, just going along with them.
-Guys…- said Sonic to the others.
-They’ll understand- sighed Amy.
-Yeah. I mean, a gravity-bending villain? We have faced much worse.- added Blaze, folding her arms.
-Don’t worry. The end of the war and this whole Entropy thing just made us all nervous.- said Sonic, waving his hand.
-Uh, herr Sonic?- Grenda’s voice croaked through the speaker.
-Yeah?- asked the Blue Blur.
-I am done with examinations. Do you need anything else?- she asked with her thick Northern accent.
-Uh, no thanks. You can bring them in with him.- said Sonic. Grenda nodded and gently walked the professor outside the nursery, followed by the Chaotix who decided to remain neutral, then she gave Sonic an envelope, bowed slightly and left.
-She was very nice…- commented Franklin, rubbing his left arm.
-She sure is.- Sonic nodded and smiled as he looked through the examination chart.
-Okay, prof… Physically you’re doing okay, in fact your body seems to have undergone a serious muscle tone improvement after the accident. One thing though, it seems that your machine has fused with you.- said the blue hero, reading the chart. Franklin sighed as he looked behind him, seeing a piece of it fused to his back, an orange half cone with four cables going directly inside him. It was like a backpack that he couldn’t remove.
-...Nevermind that. How about psychologically?- he asked, worried about his other evil half.
-Well, anyone would be mentally scarred after what happened. I don’t think we should worry about that.- he said, patting his back.
-I wish the trauma was the only thing we need to worry about… I’m not alone, in my mind… There’s… someone else lurking inside… A shadow…- whimpered the professor, at that Silver bit his lip: that had to have been the Entropy he knew and wished to eliminate. He was already creeping in his mind, plotting to turn him against those who tried to help him, following Chaos only knew what crazy idea.
-I swear to you, professor, we will help you, no matter what.- said Sonic, moving forward and placing a hand on his shoulder.
-Th-Thanks…- he sighed, smiling softly under his mask.

-So… Now what?- asked Franklin.
-That depends. Why did you come to seek our help?- asked Tails, moving forward.
-To help me understand… me. To keep me controlled. And… I was hoping… To help you defeat Eggman once and for all…- said the wolf, hunching over himself as he was embarrassed to ask. Sonic smiled and patted his shoulder.
-Of course, prof! We can do that and so much more!- said the blue hero, smiling.
-You… would?- asked the doctor, his only good eye shimmered slightly behind his goggles.
-Sure! Right, guys?- asked Sonic to the others, who all agreed, smiling and showing their thumbs up.
-I… I have no words… Thank you…- whimpered Franklin, almost crying.
-Tch… Disgusting…- grunted his other self, but Franklin ignored him.
-Okay, so first, we should monitor your powers. Which means, it’s time for your first field trip with the Resistance!- said Sonic, smiling widely. Franklin blinked but nodded and, together with the others, they headed out of the base and towards the same desert where Franklin woke up before. He rubbed his arm and looked around: nothing but sand and some sporadic rocks for miles and miles.
-...I see. You took me here to see how my powers work.- he said, turning to Sonic.
-Heh, yeah. Didn’t want anyone else to get hurt, and out here there’s not a single soul.- said the blue hero, gesturing at the immense plain of sand stretching for miles and miles.
-I understand. Better safe than sorry, huh?- asked the doctor, making the smallest of smiles.
-Yup. Now, from what we gather, your power works with your mind, so there’s not much help we can give you in that field. However, there is one of our friends who knows a thing or two about this.- said Sonic, showing Silver, still surprised that he was going to teach one of his enemies how to use his powers.
-Your name is Silver, right?- asked Franklin, going in front of him.
-Yes.- Silver replied, nodding as he tried to chase off the feeling of anxiety.
-I think I heard you back at the hospital this morning. Your voice helped me snap out of the power surge. Thank you. I don’t want anymore death on my hands.- said Franklin, shaking his hand. Silver stammered mentally: he was so polite, so far from the deranged monster he knew, driven only by his thirst for destruction.
-I trust you fully, and hope that you’ll be a great teacher to me despite our age gap. After all, one never stops learning, huh?- he asked, joking slightly. Silver himself chuckled at his light-heartedness.
-Heh, yeah. I’ll… do my best.- he said, rubbing the back of his head.
-DON’T TRUST HIM. HE HATES YOU. HE’S AFRAID OF YOU.- the voice in Franklin’s head shouted, making him wince and hiss in pain as he held his head, kneeling down.
-Professor…?- asked Silver, bending down to him.
-Mmgghh… I-I’m fine… Just… a small inside problem, but I’ll manage… Let’s begin. And please… Call me Frank.- said the wolf, looking up as he calmed down.

The training went up smoothly, since Franklin proved to be a very fast learner and in a small fraction of time was able to already kinda control his powers, while the heroes continued to study him as he floated around, lifting and tossing rocks.
-His physique has been highly mutated from the explosion. His muscle tone has greatly improved from it.- said Tails, writing the results on a chard.
-But what caused it?- asked Sonic, folding his arms.
-My scientific theory… is that I have no idea. The explosion surely allowed him to emit and control gravitons, but the physical enhancements are a mystery for me.- explained Silver, shrugging as they watched him lift and compress a boulder until it shattered into a billion tiny pieces.
-How was that?- asked Franklin as he landed.
-You did great, doc!- said Sonic, showing two thumbs up.
-Most impressive!- added Tails, smiling.
-You have quite the talent.- said Silver, nodding. Franklin smiled hearing those renowned heroes complimenting him, but then tremors ran through his body and he held his head, groaning and swaying it around, his other self was not as happy as he was.
-They’re commiserating you… Complimenting you only to keep you at bay and not explode on their face… That’s what you are now: a time bomb ready to explode. Own it!- shouted the voice in Franklin’s head, making him stiffen and shake more violently and erratically.
-NNGGHH…!! Shut up, shut up, SHUT UP!!- Franklin yelled and, swaying his hand, he opened a hole in the ground, making the heroes yelp and wince away. He shook his head and saw what happened, gasping and flying down.
-O-Oh geez! I-I’m so sorry!- he whined, checking if they were okay. Silver’s eyes shrunken in fear: that was the Entropy he knew and hated, coming out of Franklin’s meek and shy personality. The deranged psycho who loved nothing more than torturing the innocents for his sick pleasure. He winced as Franklin extended a hand to help him up, making the doctor lower his ears. Silver quickly catched up and grabbed his hand, allowing Franklin to pull him up.
-I am so sorry, I didn’t mean to frighten you, or hurt you if I did…- whined the doctor, placing his tail between his legs. Silver noticed it and, wanting so desperately for him to get rid of his evil half, put up a circumstantial smile.
-...N-No, don’t worry. It was my fault, that blast took me by surprise, it’s all.- he chuckled, rubbing the back of his head.
-Huff, good… For a second there, I thought I…- Franklin huffed in relief as he slouched slightly.
-...didn’t completely ace all our tests? Well, you’re wrong, doc!- Sonic ran in and wrapped his arm around Franklin’s shoulders. That already made the doctor feel much better, adjusting his pose and smiling under the mask.
(Huff, thank you Sonic…) huffed Silver, he was not a great liar whatsoever, even if it was a white lie.
-Thank you, mister Sonic.- Franklin sighed as he stretched.
-Take five, then we can resume.- said Sonic, patting the wolf’s back. Franklin nodded and went to sit down and drink a glass of water while the others discussed the results.

-So, Silv?- asked Sonic.
-He’s definitely getting stronger, which deeply concerns me. I’m afraid that, with every improvement he gets, his evil half gets more powerful too.- sighed the psychic hedgehog.
-C’mon, dude! What happened to the always optimistic future fighter I know and like to hang with?- asked Sonic, nudging him.
-...I know you’re right and this was all my idea to begin with, but… You can’t expect me to not have doubts.- Silver huffed, rubbing his arm where Sonic nudged him.
-Having doubts is okay, but so is accepting when it’s just paranoia. trust your friends and everything will work out.- said Blaze, kissing his cheek, making him purr and blush slightly.
-S-Sure thing, Blazie.- said Silver, smiling and turning to look at Franklin, who had removed his mask to drink. He sighed slightly seeing his muzzle stripped of flesh and leaving only the bones, and looked away as Franklin stopped drinking. The wolf sighed as he watched them converse and hang around, wondering if he could actually be part of the group. Franklin watched them discuss their ideas of what to do with him, beginning to envy even their bickering. His feelings of loneliness began to swell up inside, fueled by the despair and uselessness felt for not being able to help his wife.
-You won’t have it again.- his evil side chimed in.
-...Silence.- hissed Franklin as he wore back the mask.
-You saw it too. That white hedgehog was looking at you. He was sizing you up, thinking how he’s much better than you. The difference being: you are ALONE. Save for me, now.- chuckled the evil half, making Franklin widen his eyes and punch the ground.
-WILL YOU CUT THAT OUT??!!- he shouted, making the others wince, especially Silver and Blaze since it seemed that he was talking to them.
-...Uh, I wasn’t… talking to you…- Franklin whimpered, holding his head.
-I-I’m so m-mortified, but he… the other me… he doesn’t shut up… He keeps… spewing poison in my mind, muddling my thoughts… It’s MADDENING! P-Please, make it stop! Make ME stop!- the wolf cried out, actual tears ran down his cheeks as he flailed and twitched around, hitting his head on the ground as he growled.
-Hey hey hey! No! Bad doctor!- said Sonic, running to him and grabbing his shoulders.
-Don’t do that, it doesn’t help you in the slightest.- added the blue hero.
-How do you know?! Huh?! Have you ever had the actual devil inside you?! HAVE YOU?!- the doctor shouted at Sonic, slapping his hands away and getting up. The others tried to react but Sonic raised a hand, slowly getting up.
-Yes, actually. Several times, to be precise.- said the hedgehog calmly as Franklin’s chest heaved and fell, slowly relaxing.
-You can count them on your fingers, but I have indeed had to house evil inside me a few times. Was it pretty? No. Was it easy? No. But I persevered.- said Sonic, gently but sternly as he folded his arms.
-...How? How did you… deal with it? Please, you have to let me know!- bawled the doctor, falling on his knees.
-We don't need to kneel. We could make him kneel to us.- stated his evil half, but again Franklin just ignored him.
-I just… did it. I thought about how many things I would lose if the darkness won and it helped.- Sonic shrugged, it was hard for him to explain this but he always has been strong-willed.
-...What if I don’t have anything anymore? My job, my wife, my life… Gone, all gone…- Franklin sobbed as he held Sonic’s legs and cried again.
-Miriam…- he kept sobbing as Sonic knelt down with him and let him blow off some sadness.
-You have lost… everything. You think I wouldn’t even begin to comprehend that, but I do. I too lost my parents long ago and I never thought I would find happiness again, but I did. My friends… they’re my new family now. They fuel my drive to run. Allow yourself to love again and everything will work out for you.- said Sonic, leaving the others a bit baffled at how solid of an advice that was and making Franklin look up, sniffling.
-I promise.- added Sonic, winking.
Suddenly Tails’ Mileselectric buzzed and the twin-tailed talent went to check it, gasping.
-Eggman Alert, Sonic! He’s leading a charge at Spiral Hill Village!- Said Tails.
-Heh, you can’t teach an old egg new tricks, huh?- said the blue hero getting up with Franklin.
-C’mon, doc, let’s go!- he said to Franklin, who tilted his head.
-You… want me to come with you?- asked the wolf.
-Finally…- sneered the other half of the doctor.
-Well, duh! That’s why I asked.- Sonic giggled, to which Silver dragged him away.
-Are you nuts?! How’s having him around with the person who destroyed his life gonna help?!- he whispered harshly to Sonic.
-Think about it: having him in the field with us, showing him what we do and how we do it… Don’t you think it would give him the right imprint? Maybe force his evil side out of him?- asked Sonic. Silver wanted to retort to his smug face so badly, but he had to admit it was a good idea.
-Plus, I never said that he should fight Eggman. I’m reckless, not stupid. There are many other ways he can help in an emergency situation.- added Sonic.
-...Chaos, I hate it when you’re right.- grunted Silver.
-It happens.- Sonic snickered confidently as he dashed back with the others.
-Onward! To Spiral Hill Village!- he said, and the others nodded. Sonic hoisted Amy on his shoulders and dashed away, followed by Blaze and the Chaotix, while Tails, Silver and Entropy took flight after them. During the flight, Silver instructed Franklin on what he’d be doing with them.
-Crowd control?- asked the wolf.
-I think it’s too early for you to fight Eggman, besides fighting is not the only job of a hero.- said Silver, thinking that it would help him to keep an eye on Franklin while doing something he always did in missions.
-Oh no no, I totally understand. I too don’t want to be near the vicinity of that man.- said the doctor, waving a hand. Silver sighed in relief, at least he wasn’t going to push it.
-WHAT?! You can't possibly be okay with this!!- roared his other half.
-Oh, zip it.- grunted Franklin, touching his forehead to make Silver understand who he was talking to. The rest of the trip went smoothly and they arrived at Spiral Hill Village, where Tangle joined Franklin and Silver in crowd control and rubble removal. Silver had to admit it was nice to have some help with helping victims while the others fought. Franklin’s powers helped out a lot and he made sure everyone else was safe, not wanting anyone else to go through what he did. Silver kept an eye on him as they rescued the civilians, shuddering slightly as everytime Franklin used his powers it reminded him of a different encounter he had with him in his original timeline.
-The new one looks cool but kinda menacing.- Tangle said suddenly, promptly shut up by Silver.
-He’s… recovering from a bad accident, but he’s on our side.- Silver said to her, making her nod and letting her go to help out.
(...For now…) he thought, groaning then wincing as he heard a blast.
-Crap… Frank, I gotta go check that. I’ll be back soon, can you handle this alone?- asked the psychic hedgehog.
-Yes, don’t worry.- said Franklin, showing his thumb up to him. Silver nodded and left, leaving Franklin to crowd control on his own and, surprisingly, he was killing it. Sure, his other half’s acidic comments would come up once in a while but they felt all but pesky at worst as he kept focusing on saving others.

It was then though that he heard screams so he went to check and saw civilians being cornered by robots.
-Oh shoot!- he said, flying down and using his powers to completely flatten the robots.
-Are you okay?- he asked the civilians.
-Oh no, another robot! RUN!- one of them shouted and they all fled.
-...But…- he whimpered, sighing and hanging his head low.
-This is what the doctor turned you into. This is how the others will view you. Another evil creation of the doctor. That is why we must take care of Eggman when that chance comes.- his evil side shook his head.
-Shut up. I’m not doing this to have their gratitude, I’m doing it because it’s the right thing. Besides, these people have been traumatized by Eggman, it’s no surprise that seeing me like this would make them flee.- grunted Franklin at himself as he flew back.
-Your naiveite won't last. But I will. And I know what the world has done for you. Taken away all the good that you had. Stripped away your innocence. Now is the time, to embrace the ruthlessness that the world will relentlessly throw at us.- preached his other self, making Franklin hiss and groan.
-Please, just… Shut up, already…- grunted the wolf as he almost fell down.
-You can't get rid of me. We're one in the same. And I am all you have left. These heroes will not remain on your side for long. Soon, their fear of what you will become will overwhelm them. And they will turn on you. You can choose to not listen to me all you like, but I will not abandon you. When they turn against you, let me help you, like you should allow me now.- scoffed the evil wolf inside, making Franklin stop in midair. Of all the nonsense he spewed before… he had to admit this one kinda made sense.
-...What else should I do?- asked Franklin, making his other half smirk.
-There are no shoulds. No buts, no maybes. You have the power, the power to stop Eggman from doing to others what he did to us. Use it.- said his evil half. Franklin looked at his hand for a second, seeing the Omega-like green sign now imbued on his glove, and clenched it as he looked in front of him and propelled himself forward at blinding speed. However, Silver had returned and saw that Franklin was no longer in his spot, instead he saw him fly directly where the others were fighting Eggman.
-No… No no NO!- Silver shouted as he flew after Franklin, who had arrived at the scene. Eggman was fighting Sonic and the others in one of his contraptions, they looked like they didn’t actually need him but his mind had already been clouded with the ideas given to him by his other half so he decided to spring into action. First he enveloped the bot’s legs in his green aura and clenched his fists, crushing his legs and making it fall down right on top of the others, trapping them underneath it.
-Urgh! What the?!- asked Sonic, groaning as he tried to get out but only his head peeked out of the fairly heavy robot. Franklin then landed on top of it, putting his hands closer with claw-like fingers and moving them away from each other, thus causing the metal on the back of the bot to pry open, then he made Eggman fly out of it with a yelp, enveloped in a green aura.
-You’re done causing havoc, Eggman. I’ll end you before you do to someone else what you did to me.- Franklin hissed, ignoring the others groaning and trying to get out from under the massive bot.
-...Do I know you?- asked Eggman, raising a brow.
-YOU KILLED MY WIFE!!- shouted Franklin.
-I've killed so many people in my career as an evil genius, what makes your story so special?- Eggman scoffed, then groaned as Franklin pinned him to the ground.
-Time to pay for your crimes!- growled the wolf as he clenched hs fist and surrounded it with his gravitic power.
-Wait, you don’t mean…!!- Eggman gulped, only now realizing the danger he was in and began to struggle.
-Yes, I do…- growled Franklin, his voice getting weirdly elated as he made the gravity around his punch stronger. Eggman shouted like a baby. trying to free himself from Franklin' Gravity Grasp, but then Silver managed to tackle Franklin and throw him off of Eggman and the bot, keeping the wolf down with one hand and lifting the bot with the other, thus freeing Sonic and his teammates.
-Frank, snap out of it!- said Silver, shaking him, but his gaze was fixated on Eggman crawling off the bot and into his EggPod, flying away.
-You let him go! You allowed him to escape! I was this close to… to… Oh no, did… Did he take control of me?- Franklin gasped, returning to normal. Silver sighed and narrowed his eyes at Sonic, who simply scratched his head as if he wasn’t expecting this.
-Huff… Let’s go back to the base.- groaned Silver, with everyone else sighing and looking at the destroyed, but at least evacuated, city.

Back at the HQ, Franklin was sitting in a waiting room, looking as mortified as a kid caught with his hands in the cookie jar.
-You had him. You could have made peace with your life now, and they took it away from you. You said they're trustworthy, but is this what trust rewards you? The consequences that follow will be due to your insistence to remain as the cowardly weak wolf you've always been.- grunted his other self.
-Shut up! What came over me? Why did I listen to you?- Franklin snapped angrily.
-Next time, he won’t escape us so easily.- he growled.
-Next time? There will be no next time! I’ll die before listening to you again!- Franklin roared, when the others walked in, making him gulp and sit down again, he had gotten caught up in the momentum of yelling at his other self.
-...I’m so sorry…- he whimpered, covering his eyes.
-We know, doc. Don’t worry, a slip up happens and luckily no one got hurt.- said Sonic, still minimizing.
-Yeah, this time. But what if it happens again?- said Silver, pushing Sonic.
-Ow, dude. This was also your idea.- Sonic huffed.
-I never agreed on having him in the field, YOU convinced me and I was SO dumb for letting that happen! I told you he wasn't ready, I freaking told you! But did you listen to me?- Silver snapped and vented out on Sonic, who looked all but phased by his tantrum. He knew that Silver was mad because of the whole future supervillain thing, but he still believed that what he did was right. Meanwhile Franklin had heard all of that and slouched down, depressedly. Silver noticed and forced himself to calm down, going to him.
-Frank… There’s something I wanna show you.- he said. Franklin sighed and nodded, following them into a dark room, where they projected an X-ray of his spine, showing how the Chaos Drive was fused to it and a green energy was flowing through his spinal cord right in his brain. Franklin winced at it.
-I think we found the cause of your powers and your mental instability. It’s all connected to the damaged Drive pumping Chaos Force-powered gravitons into your body and brain. I surmise that if we surgically remove the Drive, we may remove your powers, along with your other self, forever.- said Tails, highlighting a few points on the X-ray.
-Remove… my powers…- muttered Franklin, looking at his hands.
-That’s perfect. This would remove both problems. Two birds with one stone.- said Silver, nodding.
-Yeah, I, I think so, too…- said Franklin, not sounding very convinced. Sure, these powers were more of a hassle than a help, but… The ability to manipulate one of the four essential forces of physics? That began to sound too enticing.
-DON’T LISTEN TO THEM! If they remove it, you won’t be able to vindicate your wife!- shouted his other self.

Franklin hissed and tilted his head, then he looked up again.
-...But… Isn’t that… Too extreme? I mean, maybe with more training I could…- he muttered.
-Absolutely not. It’s too dangerous to leave you in this state. You saw what happened before, who’s to say that won’t happen again, maybe even worse?- said Silver, putting his foot down.
-Have the surgery, doc. You’ll get your former life back and forget that all of this ever happened. It just… wasn’t meant to be.- added the future hedgehog, placing a hand on his shoulder.
-I have to agree here, mainly cuz if not Silver will pout at me forever… But the risk is too big to be taken.- added Sonic, earning Silver an eye roll.
-Don’t you SEE?! Don’t you SEE what they’re doing?! They want to take away the only chance of retribution you’ll ever have from you!- shouted his evil half again.
-...No. No, they’re right. This… This power is not meant for me.- he said dryly, before looking at the others.
-Let’s do it.- he said, he didn’t really want to get rid of his powers but rather than leaving them to his other evil self he was willing to part from them. they nodded and led him to a surgeon table, where Grenda was waiting with the necessary equipment. She made him lay down on his belly and strapped him to the table.
-Sorry, herr Franklin, it’s only so you won’t move much. I won’t lie: this will be painful. The most extreme pain you’ve ever felt.- she said. Franklin gulped but still was willing to go forward with it. She nodded with a sigh and, with everyone watching, began to try and surgically remove the Drive from his spine. However, this did cause him to feel the most devastating amounts of pain he ever had the displeasure of witnessing. Not even the explosion was this hurtful for him, nothing he ever felt in his entire life came even close to this agony.
-They’re going to kill you! They’ll steal your chance at getting Eggman! You must fight back for once in your life! Fight anyone who stops you! Sonic will beat you down because he thinks you don’t deserve this power. Silver prophesied you as a villain to be hated. The Restoration force will blindly follow the both of them until they take away what little of you is left. So fight back, coward! Fight before everything in life becomes an Entropy of pain and suffering!- shouted his evil half, taking advantage of the pain Franklin was feeling. In that moment, that very infinitesimal split second, his fight or flight instincts kicked in. His eyes turned green and his aura flared out, pushing Grenda away from him and making him break free of the straps.
-NO!!- the others shouted and rushed to come in, but he just knocked down the door, making them stammer back and fall down as he floated out.
-Ugh… D-Doctor… Why…?- asked Sonic, shaking his head.
-I changed my mind. I’m keeping this power and I’m going after Eggman. He’ll pay for what he did to me, ten thousand folds. Don’t get in my way, or I will crush you. Consider this my mercy. Entropy’s mercy.- he proclaimed. Silver widened his eyes hearing that name and tried to attack him, but the newly born Entropy just stopped him mid air and slammed him down by increasing the gravity around him. He pinned down the others the moment they tried to get up too then he flew off, bursting through the ceiling at high speed. Only once he was far off, his grasp faded and allowed the others to be free.
-Gah! Ugh, that smarts…- Sonic grunted, stretching.
-How can you joke in a moment like this?!- shouted Silver, grabbing his shoulders.
-Do you know what just happened?! Have you realized what we have done?! We helped give birth to one of this world’s most deadly threats ever!- Silver groaned, shaking him.
-Entropy is born… And now our entire existence is at risk.- he said, letting go of Sonic and going to the window, still seeing the tracks he left in the sky, while the others looked down after Silver’s ominous prediction.
