This is a character I've had for quite some time, but never really uploaded on FA! They're always one I mean to get more art of, but y'know, it's hard to find artists that draw mimiga well!
But yeah! This is Kaede, a sweet young Mimiga that wouldn't hurt a fly- even if she's taken up her calling as a gunsmith. She meant to provide her little warren-village a means to defend themselves against monsters and make up for their weak bodies, but in doing so became one of the few Mimiga that (sorta!) knew how to use a weapon as all the able-bodied fighters began to disappear or die out. Thus, she was forced to abandon her workshop and take up her own arms against the creatures that lurk in the darkness. Even if... she's never shot a weapon at a living creature before.
Since most people haven't played Cave Story, I tend to write/play her in more generic fantasy settings as being forced to step outside of her underground warren to earn money or find help for her ailing warren, even if no Mimiga's wandered outside for so long.
