Character Description
Young-at-Heart Bear is a purple care bear who recently moved into Care-a-Lot after living most of his life on earth, unaware of the existence of the Care Bears. His special caring mission is to help others unwind and de-stress by embracing their inner child and learning to enjoy the simple things again. He shows folks that liking childish things is okay and a perfectly normal thing for people to do.
Personality
He was closed off and awkward when he first arrived in Care-a-Lot, not used to being around others. Easy to anger and quick to dismiss others, it was fair to say he was even grumpier than grumpy. Over time however, with the help of the other Care Bears, Young mellowed out and learned to let others in.

He's still somewhat shy and introverted, though he does his best to be outgoing in an attempt to be like the other Care Bears. He encourages people to do things they enjoy and often likes to try new things and explore his interests.

Though he's gotten better at embracing his own little side, he still gets easily flustered and embarrassed when padded around others. When comfortable around others, he can be often sarcastic, with biting humor that can be pretty hit to miss for the other bears, though Grumpy seems to enjoy it. He can be extremely playful when in the right mindset, often coming across as an oversized cub when he's excited.
Likes/Dislikes
He likes baking and making music. He enjoys trying new things, even if they end up being something he ultimately dislikes and he loves trying new foods. After cubsitting Hugs and Tugs a few times, he's found he enjoys taking care of others and making them smile and laugh. He enjoys thunderstorms and often heads down to earth to his old hideout to watch the lighting flash across the sky, curled up in a blanket with his favorite starbuddy plush.

He loves soft, cozy things like plushies, blankies, and feetie pyjamas. He prefers disposable diapers over cloth and absolutely loves the smell of baby powder. Though he'd turn red as a tomato if he admitted it, he loves being bottlefed or getting petted.

He dislikes the dark and sleeps with a nightlight, a gift from bedtime bear. He loathes anyone who hurts children or deliberately endangers them and will react violently to any who do. He doesn't like crowds or interacting with folks too much during the day.
Meet my Caresona, Young-at-Heart Bear!

His specialty is helping folks who are stressed out connect with their inner child, so they can have fun and relax!

He's got a bit of a chip on his shoulder from living on earth for so long, so he can come off as standoffish at times, especially when he’s nervous, which is most of the time. When he’s relaxed, however, he’s pretty chill and just a little bit sassy. He likes to tell bad jokes just to watch people’s reactions to them and enjoys jamming on his guitar and baking. Sometimes, he’ll go back down to earth to collect stuff he finds interesting.

Young is pretty new to his job as an official Care Bear, so he still gets flustered when trying to help others out or when embracing his own youthful side, but he’s learning!

He’s usually always wearing a vest which he found years ago and has done his best to patch it up whenever it rips. It’s got a couple of pride pins he picked up after living in Care-a-Lot for some time and learning more about himself. He identifies as Asexual and Homosexual!

Brief History:

When he was a cub, Young-at-Heart and his family were fleeing from a great darkness, but he got separated from them and fell down to earth. On his way down, he hit his head and lost his memory, forgetting all about the world up above where he came from. He spent years living on earth by himself until he was found by Tenderheart during one of his caring missions.

Tenderheart took him back up to Care-a-Lot with him, where he introduced Young-at-Heart to the rest of the Care Bears family. It took a while for Young-at-Heart to warm up to the Care Bears. He’d been alone for so long, hiding from humans and trying to survive, that he’d never really learned to trust anyone.

His early days in Care-a-Lot were spent waiting for something to go wrong or for the bears to turn on him. It didn’t help that the Care Bears were so friendly they ended up overwhelming him half the time. Eventually however, he started to relax a bit and got used to living up in the clouds. He even got to go on a couple of caring missions with the Care Bears, where he eventually earned his Belly Badge. He’s a bit embarrassed about how he got it though.

Nowadays, Young-at-Heart is still getting used to living in Care-a-Lot and goes on the occasional mission when duty calls. He’s still getting a hang of helping others and messes up more often than not, but his new friends are always there to pick up the slack.

Relationships:

While he’d consider himself somewhat acquainted with most of the Care Bears, the only ones he’d consider close friends would be Grumpy, Funshine, Tenderheart, and Grams Bear. Hugs and Tugs too, but they’re more of the annoying little siblings he never had.

He likes Grumpy since he knows he can always go to him when he’s feeling overwhelmed but doesn’t want to be alone. Young-at-Heart will often spend time quietly reading or napping in Grumpy’s garage when the bear is working on something, enjoying the silent company. Sometimes, he’ll help out a bit, though he’s not particularly tech savvy.

Funshine is usually too intense for Young-at-Heart, but he ended up spending time with him a lot since they both tended to hang around Grumpy. When Funshine learned Young could play the guitar, he insisted they jam out together and they’ve been meeting regularly to do just that ever since.

As the first bear he ever met (that he remembers at least), Tenderheart was the one who introduced him to Care-a-Lot. Because of this, Young spent a lot of time with him while he settled into his new home. No matter how many times Young’s anxiety and paranoia got the best of him, Tenderheart was always there with kind words and a patient smile. Tenderheart never gave up on Young, even when the bear would snap at him for being overbearing. Young appreciated that and does his best to make up for how much of a piece of work he was by inviting Tenderheart over whenever he bakes a new treat.

While he’s close with Grumpy, Funshine, and Tenderheart, Young-at-Heart’s Bestie will always be Grams Bear. According to him, she ‘understands him on a spiritual level’. He enjoys hanging out with her, swapping stories, knitting, baking, etc. There’s just something about her presence that calms him down, even on the worst of days. He also helps her take care of Hugs and Tugs on occasion. Young-at-Heart thinks the cubs are a bit of a handful, and honestly wanted nothing to do with them at first, but they grew on him eventually.

That ended up being longer than I expected, haha! But yeah, there’s Young’s bio for now. I’ll prolly try writing a story or two expanding on his past later on and either post an updated one or just update this one whenever.

Moving this over from FA, just in case ^^. Will prolly fill out the character sheet info later after I've uploaded all my stuff.
