Today is someone new to my little roster, and quite important, too. Slazia, the Rose Assassin, is in fact the right hand of Mona. Her preferred MO is getting someone punch drunk on her pheromones, willing to do anything and everything she asks, even get themselves killed in a believable way that can't be traced back to her. It's not because she's against using her daggers, it's more they might be a treasure from her mother passed down to her, and... Well, killing someone who's love struck violates her personal code of honor. She's a cold blooded killer under Mona's orders/employ, but she feels there must be standards to make her better than anyone who will just stab you in your sleep for the thrill or money.
"How so? She serves the Queen of Sands, and she's among the most evil I've uploaded", I hear you say. Well...
It's one of her pet peeves so many so called 'professionals' kill their mark, the body is found, and then loved ones come looking for revenge. At least by doing things her way, they are killed, yes, but in a way at the victim's own hands that lead loved ones to think it was a honest mistake or cruel hand fate dealt. If someone isn't aware the candy they ate was sleeping pills as they took a drink, then it's death by mistake, not a planned murder. She prefers to keep things STRICTLY between her and her victim; everyone connected to the victim is off limits, even for blackmail. She developed this rule among her Code of Conduct because, tragically, she was subjected to the very thing she refuses to do. Her mother was struck down by a rival using her, as a Salandit, to expose her mother's weaknesses for the safety of her child, and then she was sold to Mona so the thug could be 'even' with the Queen, which is to say to be spared the Queen's wrath and not be forced to make a wish.
To Mona, she's just a tool to get things done against those who stand against her and won't fall for her trick to be granted a wish. Slazia was turned into a pro killer, forced to serve her Queen, but no matter what Mora did, she couldn't break her of her morals. And every time Mona offered to give her back everything she lost, she would say the one sentence that ALWAYS gets under Mona's skin.
"Not even you can grant my wish."
This always leaves Mona in a situation she hates; someone under her has power against her. If she forces Slazia, then she'll become more rebellious. If she disposes of her, she loses a vital tool. Slazia is right that Mona can't grant her wish; for a trained killer, this rose assassin just wants one thing; someone to love her for who she is again, and to be accepted by others who love her. She has a mean face and look, but deep down she's still a genuine sweetheart. It just takes time not for others to see her past her thorns, but for her to remember she's still a flower despite the thorns. As Mona's right hand, this of course meant she and Sammy would clash one day.
Sammy has no real defenses against poisons or such that aren't magical in nature, so it was easy for her to fall prey to Slazia's pheromones; however, as she began to instruct Sammy of how to dispose of herself, the kitten she's supposed to kill opened up about how they are alike, dealt a rotten hand in life, but really just want to connect to someone again. She was like a cute, fuzzy mirror of Slazia. This lead to Slazia sparing her, a first with such a flawless track record. It is at the battle where Sammy clashes against Mona, Slazia informs her she's quit; and she'll be serving Lady Sammy from now on. "Since, you know, she needs somebody capable at her side. It's not like we have anything in common, baka!" Slazia isn't a tsundere by any means, she, like Sammy, had been denied having a real friend to open up to.
As for Cyralon, he simply frustrated her because he was the first person she's met who isn't just immune to her toxin, but also "WHY WON'T YOU JUST DIE?! I've been stabbing and cutting you for three hours!". But then, the entire time, he was also the first one to ever treat her as the mature young ABDL she's bloomed into. Eventually, she turned her back on Mona and joined the God of Loyalty's daughter as both a servant and a guard. But most importantly, as a sister who loved her.
