The simple answer is because they don't have gender issues. Emotionally (and in a lot of ways, physically), the sexes have been aggregated. Men and women don't have the 'venus and mars' effect, because people are indeed actually just people, due to genetic modification. Girls are exactly as strong as boys, boys place exactly as much instinctive importance on emotional and social bonds; down the list, it's equal. Not to mention arguably the most important change: the whole species is bisexual. Straight up, 50/50 bisexual, at that.
