For the past month or so, I'd been thinking of the best way memorialize my close friend, wolfboy19 (Jeremy). Based on our past conversations, I felt the best way to accomplish this goal would be to have our characters appear together in a drawing. A couple of weeks before Jeremy's passing, he told me he wanted to commission gift art for me; one of the ideas he mentioned was a drawing of our characters cuddling in bed. I told him he didn't have to do that for me, but he insisted that he wanted to...he told me that I meant a lot to him and he wanted to make me happy. That was the kind of person Jeremy was; he was one of the most giving, selfless people I've ever met. During the far too short time that he was part of my life, he brought a level of joy and happiness into my life that I had not experienced in many years. We had many common interests, from our love of heavy metal music to our appreciation of nature. He also had a very unique sense of humor; he'd always put a smile on my face during our conversations. He was incredibly intelligent; he amazed me with his knowledge of technology and music. There was no shortage of topics for us to talk about, our conversations were always stimulating and flowed naturally. We'd almost always respond to each other in the form of paragraphs.
Jeremy and I quickly became close to each other. Eventually, we both felt we were both ready to take the next step and meet each other in person. We began making plans to meet in person this summer. I was going to travel up to Canada (where he lived) and visit him at his place for a week or so. He told me about all the places he'd like to show me while I was up there and some of things we could do together while I was up there. We were both very excited about getting to meet each other in person. Since his passing at the end of March, it's been a roller coaster for me. Some days are better than others. I've never endured losing a love interest until now, so this is uncharted territory for me. I'm grateful I at least had him in my life, even if it was only for a brief time. I'm thankful I had the chance to commission horserov to draw this amazing piece, with Jeremy's handsome wolf character and my character together. I know Jeremy would love this drawing as much as I do.
