On the occasion of Mother's Day...

Introducing Marguerite Dixwell, mother of Sam the raccoon from my forthcoming Unspooled books. Lives in the Florida panhandle along with her family; about to move to Madeira soon; born in the Commonwealth of Dominica to Guadeloupean ancestors; bears the Cross of Lorraine as her symbol; plays guitar in her spare time; just turned 50 this March. (The same pitch I'd been offering others across Reddit for the past how many weeks.)

[Today's spotlight artist, "drewgra",] was spotted at r/ICanDrawThat prior to this rendezvous, but their offer was closed by the time this site's founder browsed around. "Drewgra's" art style was promising enough for him to ping them through RDT chat a while after the fact. What resulted--after days/weeks of the Unspooled creator asking around--ended up as the official début of Margie's design (barring a low-res, stamp-sized attempt by another artist on April 1 that fell by the wayside).

As the artist reminded him: "No, there was no information on [what outfit she should wear]". Then again, what they gave her for a shirt wasn't bad for a first go-round.

Hence this black-and-white semi-feral sketch--blue signature and all--which will be relayed to other potential suitors in the days ahead.

One more aside: Those blue eyes--and that almost-crafty look--sure remind me of Melissa's. (Remember when CBC/the Disney Channel [depending on your side of the border] aired the adventures of Bert and friends?)

Next time around: Sam's mouse-hybrid girlfriend, Nomena. (Head over to FA/IB for all but one in this batch; the kinkiest of the lot is heading to our first pool, "Feechie"--and you'll know why once we get there.)

Meanwhile, one-shot duties await--and a certain Miraheze subdomain on the verge of shuttering could sure use the end result.

P.S. Third go-round (second successful one) with PstB--and first to be scheduled (at 6:00 Eastern).
