I've been wanting to get back into making art dolls again, so I finally did! And I decided to go "easy" with a dratini since I've been wanting one anyways. I say easy because I learned a lot making those lil' head fins and trying to support them, haha.
It was originally going to be lifesized. Then I looked up just how big they are. They ... they can be up to 6 feet long. 😳 So that's not happening, haha. At least not as an art doll. So this one is just a little hatching. She turned out a bit chunkier than I was planning, but that's fitting for just a lil' baby.
I had to get a good close up of her eyes. I tried a different way of painting eyes to better match the artwork in the source material. Plus a bit of clear gloss to give it a nice wet look. You can't tell, but it's super shiny now.
Dratinis belong to the Pokemon Company. Art by me.
