A cloak of woven roots and leaves
The loose dirt through which she heaves
Pokes her snout through and breathes
"And so I emerge from the ground,"
She said, barely making a sound
From her labor, an earthen mound
"For when I dug myself from this hole,
I felt like I was a brand new mole."
Finally free from his control
"Tonight I begin a new life.
Far from all that pain and strife."
The chains were cut, as if by a knife
Free at last, above the Earth
Ready to show the world her worth.
