Well let's see. Starting from the left, we've got Rose. She's a lot like Chapter 1 Jennifer, in that she's got a lot of awkward body and self-esteem issues. Except she doesn't have a Woody to let her know she's loved. Also a bit like Kaylee in that she has to retreat to fantasy.
Then Emily. ASIA A T6 paraplegic. Single child of one of the richest families in town. Homeschooled. Except for occasional visits from her friend Rose, she's incredibly sheltered. Has fallen head over heels in love with Will at first sight. She doesn't realize or appreciate that he's also the only boy her age she knows, and he represents everything about the outside world that's kept from her.
Will. A good boy, ragdollish sense of virtue and uprightness. He's as stronghearted as he is strongbacked. A new kid in town, having moved as his parents divorced, he's eager to meet new people. He also has a little sister just a couple years younger, which might be related to his ethics. Fell head over heels in love with Emily at first sight. He's not consciously aware that she represents the proverbial princess in the castle locked away by her cruel father.
Chloe. Abuse survivor. Damaged, probably toxic. She's got a lot of directions to explore, particularly with regard to her sexuality, but lacks a sense of direction, or other people's personal boundaries. Deeply suspicious of a lot of other people's intentions, except for her next door neighbor Maya, she's cool.
In back are Penny and Nick. A sweet couple of kids. From the first moment they interacted they both hit it off as best friends. Before the specter of sexual tension could raise it's ugly head, somebody suggested that they ought to go out together. They both naturally thought it was a good idea, so now they're best friends who are dating.
Russ. Still a pretty goofy kid. He's still growing into his body and is probably the most immature of the group. He likes video games, action movies, and comic books, and would love to talk about with anybody who might listen, like Maya his next door neighbor. He's perfectly happy to hang out with the more mature kids, he'd like to be cool too, but he's fine with following their lead.
Maya. Wears her heart on her sleeve. Bit of a Pollyanna. She likes to hang out with Chloe, whom she finds to be stylish and lewd and rebellious and maybe a little bit pushy, the way all the coolest teen girls are. Exciting things are bound to happen when you hang out with Chloe.

Hopefully, the skunk and bison do hook up. They look cute together.
I do feel bad for the moose though. She looks like she has a thing for the bison. Hopefully, their story doesn't get too dramatic and have a sad ending. In this day and age, the world needs more happy endings.
Okay, so the fennec and giraffe are already an item. Glad that's established.
Falcon seems to think himself a "ladies' man", judging by how he's talking to the camel. I'll bet his story would be a romantic comedy.
As for the chameleon, ...I have no idea. Maybe non-binary acceptance? We need a broader spectrum.
By the way, do any of them have names yet?
