I'm playing a kobold gunslinger in my family's D&D Spelljammer game.

Tacki's kobold clan was slaughtered by space pirates when he was a pup. He had to survive alone for months before a ship owned by Giff traders came and found him. He served for a year or so as the ship's cabin kobold, learning to be a wildspacer. Tacki never forgot his lost clan, and always admired the weapons of choice employed by the Giff... firearms! To Tacki, firearms were the great equalizer, and even little kobolds could stand toe to toe with bloodthirsty space pirates, evil wizards, and fearsome monsters with the proper training and equipment.

Tacki Truehorn dreamed of setting off on his own, exploring the cosmos, and helping far flung and isolated bits of civilization by helping them build well regulated and well trained militias founded on powder, shot, and the will to defend their homes and fellow citizens.
