Been doing a lot of work lately on the "background" of Dirty South and Lavender County. I've been designing neighbors but i've also been designing TOWNSFOLK, the people you'd meet living there.

Coming up first is Dr. Lemont, a primary care physician for a lot of folks in town, and his wife Janice. Leonard has been at his job for well over 30 years now, and has a great deal of care for the folks in town and their families. Because he's been at it for so long, he's taken care of kids, then continued to see them grow into parents, then taken care of THEIR kids as well! Among many others, he's Nico's family doctor, and has been seeing him since he was born, as he'd been Ganymede's doctor for a while too.

He's a man of absolute professionalism first and foremost, though he's known to cut up and have fun with his patients, anything to keep them relaxed and comfortable with exams. He can be a bit of a flirt at times, especially if he can tell medical exams are...weird for you. That said, he's always got his patients' wellbeing as his top priority, and hasn't lost that spark he got when he first decided to pursue medicine. He's definitely the kind of doctor people stay in town to keep seeing, because they trust him.

His wife, Janice, is a retired manager for a local department store. She got her position decades ago as well, and just loved the job so much that she stayed at it. She's got a good personality for coaching employees and helping them grow and, though she stayed at the store manager level, she's had many employees grow into management levels as well, some of them to district. She's someone who feels like a mother to anyone she's around, and she's the kind of boss you'd want to have at a job. In her retired years, she enjoys gardening, and spending a lot of times outdoors.

Much to her husband's protest, she does smoke, though she's one of those medical anomalies that has smoked for decades and still has perfectly healthy lungs. At her age, he's stopped fussing as much...
