Test Story
Another day was beginning to dawn upon the Paldea region. As the sun rose to illuminate the sky with a lighter shade of blue, the stars disappeared several at a time until they were replaced by wisps of white clouds. Back on the ground, the grass and flora were glistening with the morning dew until they were disturbed by the Pokemon changing shifts.
However, all that was irrelevant to what was occurring in the region's largest city Mesagoza. People were wandering the city's streets and alleyways, perusing its many stores for their miscellaneous wares. But at the topmost step of the city's highest stairway was a proud and large building, where something grand was about to happen...
The Academy was getting ready to recruit some new students into its curriculum.
Ever since Paldea's newest Champion from Cabo Poco completed their challenge, four years had passed afterwards allowing them to graduate and make their way in the world, along with other former students of the Academy...
Nemona decided to follow the newest Champion in order to continue bolstering her determination to face Geeta, a.k.a. La Primera... as well as make them stay true to their promise to be rivals from then on.
Arven became a Pokemon nutrition specialist; a special kind of chef able to create meals that were both delicious and nutritious for people and Pokemon... even going so far as to publish his recipies in a cookbook titled, "Arven and Mabosstiff's Happy Tummy Fillers: A Nutritional Guide."
As for Penny, her post-graduation sentence for community service to atone for her offense against the Pokemon League still stood, but she still managed to find time to keep tabs on her friends thanks to social media networking. They also graduated from the Academy, but chose to support their leader-slash-best friend to help shorten her sentence as much as they could... which was by several months. She has returned to the Galar region since then, now a changed, more confident person than she was during her Cassiopeia days.

But as the flow of the world goes, as old students graduate and move on, new ones have to take their place... and that is how our story begins.
In the small town of Los Platos, the streets were gently warmed by the midday sun, convincing its inhabitants to purchase from the local ice-cream stand. At two of its houses, the front doors were opened to reveal two anthros ready to start the school year: a white rabbit girl with brown hair at one house and a gray Caracal girl at another, both of which were wearing autumn uniforms.
"Bye, Grandma!" the rabbit said behind her. "I'll be sure to call once I get settled in!"
"Okay, Camilla," an elderly female voice responded. "Take care of yourself, sweetie, and don't be afraid to make friends!"
"Sure thing!" Camilla said before closing the door and starting down the path to Mesagoza.
The Caracal, however, was facing a different situation. "I still don't understand why I can't bring Maschiff with me, Mom!"
"Because, Rosita," a sharper female voice said, "you never bothered to put Maschiff in a Poke Ball, so technically it isn't yours!"
"I HAVE bothered, Mom!" Rosita argued. "But every time I tried, he keeps breaking out because he likes to be free!"
"Then use a better ball, because I don't have time for this!" her mother griped before Rosita shut the door and went down the other path in a bad mood.

Meanwhile, in the mining town of Zapapico, one of the doors in the paved wall of the town opened up, and a black lizard boy in a spring uniform was ready to go. "Okay, Mama, I'm heading out!"
"Have a nice day, Pico!" a female voice called out.
After the door was closed, Pico made his way down to the local Flying Taxi cab. There, the driver greeted him with a bright smile. "Ah, Pico Hatsuki! Good to see you again!"
After the Squawkabilly flying the cab voiced their greetings, Pico answered with, "Good to see you too, Hilda. You too, Squawkabilly and company!"
"So," Hilda said, "I'm guessing by the clothes on your back that today is the big day?"
"That's correct," Pico confirmed. "But unfortunately, I can't get where I need to go on my own, so I'll be needing your help, if I may?"
"Well, you've certainly come to the right person to ask!" Hilda said as she took her place on the cab. "Hop in!"
With that, Pico entered the cab and settled in.
"So, where to?"
"The east gates of Mesagoza," Pico said, humoring Hilda, "and step on it!"
"Coming right up!" Hilda said, and the cab was carried to its destination on the colored wings of the flock...

While that was going on, the usual hustle-bustle of Porto Marinada carried on before one of its blue-striped houses opened its front door to two anthro huskies: one large adult male in blue jeans and a denim jacket over a black crew shirt, and a smaller, younger male in a summer uniform. "So, ready for your first day of school, son?" the larger husky asked.
"Sure am, Dad!" the younger husky said with a wag in his tail. "Making new friends, learning new skills..."
"But don't forget," the pup's father reminded, "the MAIN reason you're enrolling is to prepare for the real world."
Suddenly, the wagging stopped. "Yes, sir."
The big dog then gave his son some reassuring ear rubs before adding, "Now, now, Balto, that's not to take away from the positive things. I'm only saying this because I love you and want what's best for you."
"I know, Dad," Balto said with a smile frome the petting. "I love you, too."
"That's my boy," his dad said before he stopped. "But hey, better get a move on, son! Don't wanna be late for your first day!"
"Oh, you're right!" Balto said before he rushed to a bike that was parked by the gate, put his helmet on and hopped on. "Bye, Dad! I'll be sure to talk later! Love you!"
"Love you too, son!" his dad replied as he waved, watching his son ride off to Mesagoza for his first day of school.

There they went, four students, each taking their own way to the academy in Mesagoza, unaware that their lives were never going to be quite the same...
