This is the 2021 remake of the original reference for Kai the Fox, dated back in 2017. Almost everything is the same, except that Kai himself is redrawn to even have his taller, more powerful self; that few additional powers are mentioned; and the canvas is expanded, noticeably widening the background.
Let's not get confused with the bad guy called "Kai the Collector". This "Kai" here is a young kung fu student, and one of the characters exclusive to the online action game Kung Fu Panda: Tales of Po.
There is not much known about him, except that he is in good terms with the Jade Palace masters, and even goes there to study with them. His known power is that he can disappear and then reappear in another place to avoid enemy attacks. At one time however, he found a room containing an ancient demon mask that made him wear it, turning him into a savage warrior 10 times stronger and ferocious, prompting Po and the Furious Five to defeat him, turning him back to normal. At what cost? He had to wear bandages to sustain injuries.
And again, this good fox is named Kai, and anyone may mistake him for an evil bull. Take note of that in terms of confusion, as someone who knows Kung Fu Panda (either entirely or partially) may not know the fact that there are 3 characters actually named "Mei Ling". Also take note that there might be OCs named "Kai", because this character is officially not an OC.
