I am at a photography studio. I know the photographer, but that doesn't make the experience any less embarrassing. My Mary Jane shoes click as I walk across the wooden floor and my 50's style little girl's dress does little to hide my, admittedly damp, cloth diapers. I tightly clutched my dolly, who's outfit was a miniature copy of my own.
I put a hand on the blocks to steady myself. My thick cloth diaper is forcing my legs apart further than I am used to and it is upsetting my balance somewhat.
"Ok Sweetie! Look at the camera!" says the photographer.
I hug my dolly tighter as I give a timid smile to the camera. Unknowingly making myself look even cuter.
*Flash* *Flash* *Flash*
"Good girl! You are doing great sweetie."
I feel my blush deepen at the patronizing praise. Everyone had been treating me like the child I was dressed as and it was making me feel so little. So warm and fuzzy and childlike...
