Background/History
Like Ryo and Kai, Tess comes from the same tribe. Rare few were born with magical abilities, luckily for Tess she was one of those rare few. Because of her abilities, she was respected, but feared by most of her tribe mates. Tess did at times abuse her power and make pranks and small traps to hurt people. Around this time she began to hang around Kai and his gang causing trouble. When Kai instructed Tess to earn Ryo's trust and fake romantic feelings for him, Tess was surprised how different Ryo and Kai were. She took part on some of Ryo and his sisters adventures from time to time as well. Being in different company even for a short time felt strange, she felt herself becoming soft, especially with Ryo, seeing him as a friend. Perhaps Kai's plan would backfire if this continued, but the time came to break Ryo down. Tess was hesitant at first but in the end, turned on Ryo. She knew deep down even if she truly fell for him, she would still be a bad girl that loved to hurt others at heart.
Tess took no part in the death of Ryo's sister, nor did she think Kai would go as far as murder. She did not believe Kai's words when he told everyone Ryo was possessed and killed his friends and his sister. But when Ryo came back covered in blood holding his sisters body, she began to have second thoughts. Kai told her about the spirit of Rage, and what he did to make Ryo get possessed. Tess did feel bad for Ryo, but learning about Rages power made her interested in Kai's plan.
Tess sided with Kai when he went rogue and killed their entire tribe for their blood. The young woman was amazed at the thrill she had when killing her fellow tribe mates, but was even more amazed at the power she felt from the sins after they were released. She was disappointed once they scattered, but is determined to hunt them down and get them back.
Tess along with Kai managed to survive over the centuries by ritually sacrificing the unknowing to keep them young and alive. Tess lured their victims, both men and women with seductive tones and advances to a location while Kai kills them. When they got word of someone who could be a surviving member of their tribe, they searched for their lost tribe mate and learned that Ryo too has survived all these years. Tess knows that Rage is one of the spirits needed, but to capture Rage, they need to kill Ryo and all his allies that stand in their way.
Kai and Tess don't see each other as a couple, more a beneficial partnership. At a distance Tess is a force to be reckoned with because of her magic, but if her opponent gets close enough to attack, Tess is at a major disadvantage.
