LA CONFESION DE SKYE
Era una época de verano, el calor estaba muy presente, y por tal motivo los cachorros de la patrulla canina se divertían en la piscina de la ciudad. Todo estaba muy bien desde que surgió el detalle de las parejas. Ese detalle consistía en que 4 de los cachorros habían caído en las redes del amor, los cuales eran, Marshall, Everest, Chase y Skye. Las cosas nunca estuvieron mejores, sin embargo, meses luego del emparejamiento, Skye comenzaba a comportarse de manera extraña cuando Marshall estaba cerca, Everest estaba confundida, y conforme el tiempo paso, ese comportamiento se hizo más evidente para Everest. Una mañana, everest fue de visita al cuartel cachorro, ahí, Skye le explico que alguna vez, antes de que chase y ella estuvieran juntos, ella sintió un amor increíblemente grande por Marshall, y que a pesar de todo, jamás ha podido olvidarlo, y everest, conmovida por tal confesión, le dice a su amiga que escriba una carta fantasma. Ese mismo día, Skye comenzó a escribir la carta mientras everest distraía a todos los cachorros, y finalmente, Skye termino la carta, la cual, decía lo siguiente:
“Uno nunca sabe lo que la vida le va a dar o a quitar, uno nunca sabe cómo actuara el destino. Años atrás, creí que solo podría tratarse de una etapa, algo que dejaría atrás con el paso del tiempo, pero luego, me di cuenta de que no era una etapa, era algo que yo sentía desde adentro. Nunca olvidare, el día que me hiciste sentir eso.
Era una noche tranquila y muy fría también, era época de otoño, todos estaban dormidos, todos menos yo… y tú. En aquel entonces, cantar bajo las estrellas era solo un hobby para mí, no pensaba en nada, más que en la melodía que tenía en mi cabeza, y en ese momento apareciste, estabas riendo, estabas feliz, y cuando creí que todo estaría en calma, hiciste una torpeza que me hizo reír.
Esa noche fue de las más gloriosas para mí, pero mis ilusiones se derrumbaron cuando supe, que quizá, mi destino no era a tu lado, cuando supe, que mi lugar no debía estar contigo. Fue un momento completamente oscuro para mí. Pero esa luz regreso a mí, cuando supe que tu sentías lo mismo, finalmente mis sentimientos podían florecer, pero las cosas empeoraron, cuando el destino nos hizo estar tan cerca, pero tan lejos uno del otro, y fue ahí, cuando decidí seguir mi camino, así como tú el tuyo.
Mi corazón se entristeció, cuando supiste por obra mía, que mi destino yacía con alguien más, y peor aún, con tu mejor amigo. Pero… Días después… Algo sorprendente sucedió… Cuando creía que todo había terminado, tú me demostraste esa cualidad inigualable en ti, ese algo que me hizo amarte desde el inicio, ese algo, que me hizo darme cuenta, que siempre te amaría. Ese día, decidiste dejar todo atrás, por mi… Sacrificaste tu felicidad, haciéndome a mí, la cachorra más feliz en el mundo… Ese día me dijiste con la mirada, que me amabas y estabas dispuesto a todo solo por ver una sonrisa en cara…
Ese día entendí que jamás te olvidaría… Ese día vi en tus ojos, ese amor correspondido… Ese día, aunque el destino quiso algo más para mí, igual me mostro, que significas todo para mi… Ese día jure, que jamás olvidaría el amor que te tengo…
Hasta la fecha, pienso igual sobre ti, sigo viéndote junto a mí… Adoro estar al lado de chase, es un cachorro único, pero mi corazón, jamás olvidara toda la alegría que le hiciste sentir. Nunca en la vida, dejare de sentir afecto hacia ti Marshall…

Luego de haberle mostrado a everest la carta, ella quedo conmovida y ambas cachorras solo se abrazaron, pero Skye no pudo evitar llorar por lo que había pasado. Ella al fin se había dado cuenta, de que a pesar de que su vida giraba en torno a un camino, ella realmente tenía algo que soñar, pero como bien ella lo dijo, el destino quería algo más para ella. Finalmente, Skye y everest encendieron una pequeña fogata a las afueras de bahía aventura, Skye le dio un dulce beso a la carta y la arrojo al fuego. Así fue como todo termino, así fue, como al final, Skye dio a conocer, una parte de ella que nadie, ni si quiera chase sabia, pero de ahora en adelante, las cosas serían un poco más difíciles.
