Finally buckled down and made myself an AU Tails! After the events of Frontiers, Tails decides the best person to help him get stronger is Knuckles. The guardian agrees, but on the condition that he abandons his clothing. The two live a more naturalist lifestyle on the island, though Knuckles does make some accommodations. He crafts a headband for his buddy's growing hair, and allows Tails to make some wraps to protect his hands and ankles.
Alongside increasing his physical strength, Tails discovers a penchant for magic. Ancient scrolls the echidna's had kept hidden contain various spells he can use, enhancing his abilities. One of his favorites, Foxfire, allows him to create illusions. Here he's manifesting the navy flames to produce fake tails, giving him the appearance of a mature kitsune. Still, it's only an illusion, meant to buy time, but it helps him get the edge to make a plan or use an offensive spell.
