Immortality the dreams of Men throughout the ages, to combat the one thing they could never beat; Time. A few millennia ago four furs were blessed with this gift but it came with a cost. They were chosen to defend their world against the threat of Spiritual immortals. The horrible beasts that would inhabit the hearts of men everywhere and cause them to go berserk and unleash their brand of evil upon the world. The Four furs chosen were given four unique titles; Shaman, warrior, Magician, solider. The Shaman was gifted with the ability to channel powers of the spirits and use the immortals own powers against them. Warriors were gifted with their fists. They used speed quickness and their own spirit to defeat immortals. Magicians were gifted with powers to manipulate the things around them including the minds of furs. Soldiers were gifted with the ability to use weapons and are great at healing.

The Four furs blessed with these titles fought for years until the final immortal was beaten and sent back to their world and they had nothing left to fight for. Fearing that these furs would become corrupt the immortal who granted them their powers set restrictions on their actions. They were not allowed to harm or steal from others and in return the immortal would give them all the riches they could handle. They were also allowed to enslave any fur they saw fit as long as they treated them with respect and dignity. But he realized that these furs all had sexual desires and would probably foster many children. So he changed their orientation so that would not breed. They still did but presently over ten thousand years later the four furs had only fathered five sons each. But around a hundred years ago the immortals tried to emerge again into this world. The immortal and the original four prepared for a battle. All their offspring were placed on teams together and they began to fight. Twenty years ago the youngest of each of the four had grandkids. They were also placed on a team together. Since then if one Clan produces an offspring all others would also have to produce. This made having offspring complicated for the clans so they decided only to do it when necessary. But sixteen years ago a need for more teams was growing as the immortals were sending many of their minions all throughout the world trying to make their way back in. Even though these minions were many only a few were very powerful and so only minor training was needed to combat them. The youngest of these offspring is Alex Shaman. He is also the son of the youngest of the shaman’s offspring.

He is fourteen about to turn fifteen in two weeks, Offspring gain their powers just before their fifteenth birthday and on their fifteenth they begin their training. However Offspring are locked into magical houses until they are fifteen and are not allowed to interact with the outside world until they are eighteen. Immortal minions try to attack these offspring as much as possible so they are sealed in barriers and never let out. Alex has never once step foot outside his house. Or at least that is what his father thinks. Alex started to leave the house three years ago. He met a nice Boy his age and became friends with young boy. Since his dad leaves every morning at ten and returns at seven and his brother leaves at eight in the morning and returns at seven at night Alex got away with it for very long. However everything would change today when his eyes turned red.

Alex woke up lazily in his bedroom ready to spend some time with his dad and brother before they left. He quickly got up out of bed and threw his pajamas in his hamper. He went into his very extravagant bathroom. A shower a bath a Jacuzzi along with the other regulars of a bathroom but it was all gold. He looked into the mirror fixing his morning hair. He was a feline, blue fur with white outlines on ears stomach and the tip of his tail. He had bright green eyes? Not today anyway his eyes were now red. He knew something was up so he rushed his shower and threw on his robe.

He walked down the hall filled with statues of different historical figures lining the entrances to different rooms. He continued until he reached the stairs. Once there he saw his brother a Green and white feline with the same fur patterns as him and even the same green eyes. He was way taller since he had just turned twenty himself. Alex was around 5”7 while his brother Marlon stood at 6”3.

“Morning Lex, I have to leave early today so I won’t be staying for breakfast”

Alex frowned. He liked having time with his brother, he was the only real person he has known besides there father.

”I wish I could go outside like you can. I hope dad lets me out for my birthday like he did with you”

“Lex you still have to wait until you’re eighteen to go outside. But when your birthday comes dad will probably show you the teleporter. Until then just be patient.” Marlon patted his brother on the shoulder before turning to continue his trek downstairs. He did not notice he dropped his head band, a light blue silk head band. Alex went to reach for it as he called out.

“Hey Bro you dropped something” Alex reached for the ribbon like head band, his brother turned around eyes wide. Before Alex could reach it Marlon grabbed his arm tightly and picked up the headband himself. Marlon’s eyes were full of anger as he stared into those shaking eyes of his brother.

“Dad warned you about touching these hasn’t he?” Marlon said in a very loud voice. Alex could only whimper and nod as his tail curled around his legs. His brother gave a grunt and walked away. Alex waited a while and then followed him down. He saw his brother catch a lunch bag and then went to the basement. Alex went to follow his brother but before he could even touch the knob he felt himself pulled up off the ground. When he turned his head he saw his father. His father was nearly a full foot taller than him standing at 6”6. He was a white feline with flaming red hair. His eyes were yellow but right now they might was well be red because that was all the Alex saw. His father was pretty furious but then again when Alex broke any of his rules or complained about them he really showed how angry he could get.

“What are you doing? Were you trying to enter the basement?” His father asked in a very deep tone. Typical of when he was in trouble. Alex could only sheepishly nod. His father grunted and dropped him. Alex quickly scrambled to his feet then turned to face his father. His father was still furious.

“I have told you many times before. You do not get to touch that door. Do I have to discipline you again? Or will you listen to me this time?”

“I am won’t touch it again dad. I understand” Alex just gave a sheepish reply as his father was still staring him down. Suddenly his father smiled at him.

“Good now how about breakfast.” His father had become his usual cheerful self. When Alex was not breaking his rules he was probably the perfect father. Alex got anything he wanted and his father always made sure to spend time with him. His father went into the kitchen and brought out their breakfast. Some pancakes and Milk.

Alex spent the morning spending time with his father playing basketball in their gym. He asked his father about the eyes during their work out but his father just said he would tell him on his birthday. His father said it was something their family goes through around his age and it would all be explained later. That was his father’s favorite line fifteenth birthday all would be explained. It got so old. But with his fifteenth birthday coming soon that excuse would no longer work. His brother used to complain but when he turned fifteen that all ended and he never again questioned their father.

Alex ate lunch at noon after spending the morning chatting with some friends and playing some online games. It was now three and he could now go to his friend’s house. He snuck out the sliding glass door at the back and then searched the backyard. It was a standard backyard but with rose bushes lining the walls from end to end. The concrete walls standing tall also had bard wires on the top of them. Alex never knew that those were meant to keep him in instead of keeping people out.

Alex sighed as he started to run towards the back wall. Three years ago he found an opening in the wall and snuck out. That day he realized what the outside world was like and he also met a friend. A boy by the name of Rin. Since that day he and Rin have been good friends. Every day he would go over to Rin’s house around three and spend some time with his friend but he left before his dad would get home. Not once in three years did his dad return early enough to catch him. So why would today be any different. He snuck under the rose bush avoiding the spikes and the dirt. Little did he know that after he left the rose bush caught fire. It was slowly engulfed by a transparent white flame as Alex made his way through the forest that surrounded his mansion. He arrived at his friend’s house just in time to meet him in the driveway of his modest two story house.

Rin was a Black wolf just a few inches taller than Alex. He had black eyes and scar on his left paw that looked like a crow. He was dressed in his school uniform just a dress shirt with their crest and black pants. He was the same age as Alex and was also on the gaming servers Alex used the most.

“Heya lex”

“Hey Rin, How was school.” Rin just gave a grunt in response and made his way to his front door. “Lousy for me I had a huge test today and I think I really screwed it up. You are lucky you do not have to deal with that crap.” Rin poked Alex in the arm. Alex moved back a bit and chuckled, he then followed Rin into the house.

“I wish I had to deal with it. Better than being stuck in my house all day. I tell you Rin I wish my dad would stop keeping secrets from me.” Alex had spaced out a bit after he said the word secrets so Rin tapped him on the shoulder and motioned for him to sit on the couch while he got out of his uniform.

A few minutes later Rin returned dressed in a blue t-shirt and some shorts. Rin was pretty cute dressed like this or so Alex thought. He had a huge crush on Rin but could never tell him about it. The two just started to play some video games. Of course Alex was totally destroying Rin in every racing and shooting game they played but Rin had his number in fighting games. The two were so competitive that they did not notice Rin's parents walking in.

“Hi boys. Enjoying yourselves?” A female voice asked. The two boys stopped their game and looked over to see Rin’s mother. A coyote with grey fur and blonde hair. She was quite slender and timid and stood the same height as Rin. Behind her stood Rin’s father a brown stallion quite tall and muscular. Alex had already guessed that Rin was adopted since his parents were so different from him but he could never come out and ask it.

“Hi Mrs. Gale, HI Mr. Gale” Alex said putting down his controller and greeting Rin’s parents. Rin did the same but gave his parents a hug. Alex stammered a bit and held his head as he made his way back to the games.

“You Okay there Alex?” Rin asked him looking at curiously. He did not notice his parents giving Alex an evil eye.

“Yes I am Rin. Just a headache. I think I should head home early today.” Alex said to the disappointment of Rin. Alex just moved back the couch and laid there for a while. Rin went over to make sure he was okay but Mr. and Mrs. Gale kept eyeing him.

Mr. Gale spoke up first. “Alex I think this time we should call your father! You look quite sick!”

Alex sprang up in surprise. For three years now he told them he could not tell them his father’s numbers because he was disobeying one of his major rules. They decided not to report him to the police because his father could be guilty of imprisonment. They just provided a safe place for Alex to visit every day. But today it would prove to be anything but safe.

The door was broken with a crash and it stunned everyone. Rin’s mother grabbed both Alex and Rin and rushed them to the basement as Rin’s father went to see who had broken down there door.

“How did you find us?” was the last thing Rin heard his father say as he was carried into the basement.

Rin’s mother started looking through some stuff in the basement. Alex was still holding his head in pain. Rin was looking quire worried however he was watching his mother frantically search for something is this barely used basement. She finally found what she was looking for and it was a small black box that looked like it held some kind of jewelry. It had the crest of a Raven embroidered on it.

When Rin took it into his paws his mother gave him a huge hug and he felt tears run down from her muzzle on drop onto his shoulders. “Mom what is going on? Why are you crying? Is dad in trouble?”

His mother pulled back and wiped away her tears. “Rin!” She looked at him seriously and garnered a bit of gasp from Rin from the sudden change in atmosphere. Alex was still holding his head in pain. “You need to run. Run with Alex his parents should be able to help you just be careful. Make sure you tell them that you want to see Alfred. If our suspicions are right Alex should be able to lead you to your father.”

Rin turned and looked at Alex the poor kitten was still feeling a bad headache. He then turned back to his mother. “Mom how? You know more about Alex?” There was a huge crash and Rin’s father screamed out in pain.

Meanwhile Back at Alex’s house His brother had just teleported back into the house and was exciting the basement.

“Alex! I am home early! I also brought you some ice cream!”  Marlon waited for his brother to run down the stairs and greet him but he got no response. He moved over to a wall that had an intercom on it and then repeated his message through it and waited. But he got no response again. Marlon got annoyed. His brother may have been mad at him for his outburst at him this morning so he went looking for him.

He searched through all the rooms his brother would normally spend his days in but for some reason he could not find Alex anywhere. He finally decided to check outside in the yard see if his brother was sleeping out there.

When he got out there he saw no sign of his brother but he saw something he never though he would see. At the far corner of the yard a rose bush was burning a white flame. Marlon ran over to investigate and realized that this was his brother’s doing. His powers had came to fruition. Normally this would mean nothing but when he saw the hole in the wall behind the rose bush he realized something. His brother had left the house. This was bad he needed to let his dad know what just happened. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his cell phone and quickly dialed his brother’s cell. He got no answer and heard an explosion in the distance. ‘Dang they are here already! This is bad’. Marlon then dialed his father this time.

“Dad! We have a huge problem!” Marlon screamed over the phone. He could hear the sounds of his father’s group preparing to launch their attack. He was supposed to keep Alex busy while their operation was in effect.
There was a rule that none of them could reveal their powers to their offspring before their fifteenth birthday because it would cause huge complications when their powers awakened.

“What! We are about to leave. Have you moved Alex away from all windows?” His father responded.

“No! Alex is gone! He left the house. And I think he is being attacked right now!”

“FUCK! What is that boy thinking! I will be right there. Dad will be pissed at me if we don’t resolve this quickly. Get going and Find your brother fast. If we do not get him he will be killed!” His father hung up and Marlon jumped over the wall that encased their property and when towards the smoke from the explosion that was just heard.

Back at Rin’s house. Rin was in tears and Alex laid on the ground unconscious. His mother had protected him from the explosion that encased his house. His mother laid there bleeding badly and he could see his father in the fire fighting some unknown fur. Alex slowly groaned and regained consciousness and looked at the scene in front of him.

“What the hell! What is going on?” Alex asked in rage.

Rin just continued to cry on the body of his mother when his father called out to him. “Rin! Run!” Rin could not believe his father was telling him to run like this. But he had to when Alex grabbed his arm and dragged him along.

“Rin! This is dangerous we have to go!” Alex said running at a full speed as he dragged his friend along. Behind them he saw some kind of figure in the fire of the house start to emerge but he had to keep running and did not want to see who or what just blew up a house like that so easily.

He managed to run and reach the forest that lead to his house. He started running and maneuvering through the trees letting Rin go so he could move better. Then through the leaves came a blue feather that was thrown like it was a knife. Alex and Rin both stopped and watch the feather start to glow. Alex felt something again this time he knew this was bad and that he could do something about it. He ran over to Rin and grabbed him into his arms and then jumped.

Alex had jumped quite the ways into the air and the feather exploded beneath them. Rin had closed his eyes when they had jumped and he opened them to see him and Alex slowly falling to the ground a hundred meters away from where they explosion just occur. They landed with a soft thud and Rin was allowed to get back to his feet.

“How did you do that?” Rin asked a little bit flustered.

“I do not know. But I do know we need to get back to my house. My dad has a teleporter in our basement that he uses to get in and out of the house. We can escape using that!” Alex said making his way back to his house.

“I thought that was fake!”

Alex looked back at his friend. “It is not! Now let’s get going!” Alex and Rin made to leave but they were stopped when a blue feather cut Rin right through the shoulder.

“Rin!” Alex screamed out rushing over to his bleeding friend. Dropping in on them was the one who threw the feather in the first place.

“Well well what do we have here? A fledgling and the son of a traitor! I picked a good time to retrieve you then.” A deep menacing voice said. Alex looked up to see who it was. It was a black wolf quite muscular with red piercing eyes. The wolf was dressed armor that consisted of a metal chest plate and Iron tunic. It was decorated with blue feathers even had a blue feather cape swirling in the forest breeze. The wolf looked quite threatening to Alex but he only a few more seconds before his vision went dark.

“What!” Alex asked out loud when he felt himself getting blindfolded from behind.

“Don’t you fucking move!” Alex heard the real angry voice of his father say. His father was the one who blindfolded him! “Marlon! I have him contained cover us!” Alex heard his father say and then heard his brother reply. “On it!”

Alex’s father grabbed him and Rin by the collar of their shirts and dragged them with him as he jumped through the air from tree top to tree top. Alex was in total panic mode and he tried to reach for the blindfold as he heard sparks and explosions coming from where they had just been.

“Touch that fucking Blind fold and I will chop your hands right off right now!” His father yelled at him. He never heard his dad swear before which meant his father must be really really mad.

After a few minutes of jumping Alex’s father stopped when he reached their house and let the boys get to their feet. However the blindfold stayed on Alex’s head. His father ushered Rin in front of them then grabbed Alex’s arm and dragged him into the house.

Once they entered the house Alex was thrown down to the couch as his father went to threat Alex’s wound. The blindfold was still on him as he sat there and waited for his father to finish up.

After a while Rin and Alex’s father returned to the room with Alex’s shoulder banded up. Rin felt the blindfold come off his face as he could finally see but the sight before scared him so much.

“Alex! You caused so much trouble me for me!” His father’s rage was there and Alex was quivering in fear of it. His father grabbed him by the collar of his shirt and lifted him off the floor. “Do you know how much trouble you caused? You are lucky you are not fifteen yet OR I would be beating you to a pulp right now! You are so grounded. NO internet No TV. No leaving your room. I have got to take your friend there with me and put him under thanks to you!”

Rin blinked as his father said the last part. He looked over at Rin and saw him fall unconscious. Alex’s heart felt like it was about to burst as his father threw him across the room and into a wall. He hit it so hard he knew he had a broken bone or two. In pain he watched his father grab unconscious Rin and walked through the basement door. Alex held his arm in pain and started to cry.
