From one extreme to the other, next up is the Ice Flower! The ice power up is cool, but I'll admit I have a hard time really getting into it and that's in no small part to it's color scheme for the brothers. It just doesn't invoke the feeling of 'cold' like how the fire colors nail the feeling of 'hot.' I understand the want to make use of their defining colors, but the red and green are such counter productive colors to making something ice-themed. So with that in mind, I wanted to make something that embodied the feeling of ice, while still keeping them distinct from each other and still finding a way to work in their red and green without it being distracting from the entire image! All that said, I'm pretty happy with the final product and wish it was canonical... but that kind goes without saying, doesn't it?
