This animation has a very special place in my heart. Originally I had commissioned the artist to just animate Dorado performing some basic kicks and punches. But then, in November, it was announced that Jason David Frank had taken his own life...

as a tribute to someone who had a significant impact in my life since I was little, I decided to ask the artist instead, to animate Dorado performing the Green Ranger Kata from Jason's instructional VHS tape that I had back in the 90s.

Very nice!! Animator did a great job recreating the timing and movements of a Kata, even the important detail of Eyes feet hands secuence of movements when performing tecniques!

what style for the commission? or did you mean what style is the White Ranger Kata?

I was going to commission the same artist to do the 3D animation. As far as what style; Jason David Frank often referred to his style of karate as "American style" because he combined lots of various elements of different martial arts into his stuff. Kind of vague, I know, but I think over the years, EVERYTHING has become "American karate" with rise of MMA and such ^-^

i dunno about a particular style, as a cub i just learned karate from a friend who's dad owned a dojo. also i had JDF's instructional VHS tape (as mentioned in the description)
