It is Valentines day and whether or not you celebrate it or not, I wanted to make a little sappy post about my border collie.

We met like eight years ago and little did I know that this border collie would change my life. Everything has shifted and he has opened my eyes to how shittily I had been treated prior to dating and being friends with him, and how little respect I garnered from those around me. He has helped me get a backbone and stand up for myself, even if its only marginally better than how often I used to! I left my ex and started dating him, of which I probably never would have done. I get to hear him laugh and joke all the time, play games with him and share a life with him and a better group of friends. He filled a border collie shaped hole in my life that I did not know I had.

I am so thankful that I get to be the one who gets to see his little shoulder laugh when he thinks he's being oh-so-coy, the one with his little eye twitches as he's lamenting to himself on how cunning he is. I get to be the one that experiences the tenderest touches, and hear the sappiest sides of him. I get to be the one that hugs and kisses him, alongside other things.. and I get to build an empire with my bestest friend in the whole wide world... even when things are not going so well. Even if I groan and playfully roll my eyes at him when he makes dum jokes, or a bad pun, it just makes me love and appreciate him even more and more than I ever thought was possible. I actually feel love and a pull towards him I never have before.

This ball of fur has changed my life and I am ever thankful for him and his presence in my life. I love you, Callee~ You are my good boy~ I am so thankful to have you in my life and to be your girl!
