Shema receives dozens of little drawings and sketches from her students every year. Each one is photographed by Shema, then hanged on a section of the wall dedicated for student drawings. Shema feels this gives them pride and encouragement in their work, to see their drawings valued and displayed.
At the end of the year, she collects all of the drawings, places them in a folder, and lovingly stores them safely away in her home. Sometimes, she'll look through old drawings, remembering her students that are now older or nearly ready to graduate, and she'll feel a bit sad.
