The world of Alpha is full of difficult creatures, both living and not-so-living. Familiar makes up one such creature, and one of the more dangerous ones Alphans can encounter.

Driven mad by desire for identity they have long since lost, Familiars trick and consume living beings for their memories, eventually taking form of the victim to continue the cycle.

Their disguise takes some time to take effect, and longer to properly mimic Alphan behavior. They can still be exposed, especially from long-time companions of the victim whose relationship runs deeper than passphrase exchanges.

When provoked, Familiars can exhibit physical strength and agility that does not match their appearance, making them surprisingly difficult to subdue even with multiple people.
