Did this one a while back as i was really adapting and getting a good idea for what has become my Ardet setting. Fantasy setting that I've since used a bit for some DnD games. ^^

Orin smiled as he walked through the park with Rascle. The big Warg trotted along hooved toes now noiseless in the grass. Orin loved the big Warg and it in turn would do anything to protect Orin. Which indeed had been part of the reason his father decided to get his son one anyway despite their living in the city. Orin's uncle raised them out in the country and Rascle was born there. Rascle was generally very well behaved and navigated the city well. Riding Rascle sure beat using a bike or the subway to get around. Orin didn't like the subways. Too many people too cramped. He sometimes felt the tunnel was closing in on him. He might have been a tad claustrophobic. That might also be why the park was one of his favorite places to visit. But it also meant a leash for Rascle. Orin couldn't help thinking it was a stupid rule. Canines in the park were to be kept on leashes. Except a War was NOT a canine. Rascle was more closely related to to an elephant at the zoo than he was a canine of any sort. But it looked like a dog and got classed as one. Of course the leash was pointless. If a Warg ran off after something all the leash would do was ensure you'd be dragged along behind it! But the innate pack or herd instinct usually kept that at bay. Wargs preferred to be close to their pack mates. Which in this case meant Orin.

Orin himself didn't mind that at all. Generally with Rascle around they paid more attention to the Warg than they did the young Orc boy. Which to Orin's mind meant that there was even less chance they might notice something that really only someone looking for it would notice. A certain puffyness at his waist, a quiet crinkle. His diaper. Orin certainly didn't fit the stereotype of the big tough hard as nails Orc many tended to hold. It made Orin a bit shy around others. He got teased a bit as it was and some kids at school suspected. Only a very few friends knew for certain. Well them and the school nurse, and his teacher, and the gym teacher. It didn't help that Orin usually carried a backpack around with him. Supplies in an inner compartment just in case. Today though Orin felt a lil more confident as he didn't have to lug it around. His mom had decided to join him at the park and had thus volunteered to keep an eye on his bag. So he could roam about the park without it.

Which was what Orin was currently doing. Just walking about people watching. Out in the field he saw various Humans and some Hobbits running or walking about doing this or that. A few people with dogs that usually gave the Rascle curious looks as no doubt there was a conflict in their lil heads. Something that looked like a big dog but sure didn't have a scent anywhere close. Just into the tree line Orin could see an Elvish lady leading a few kids, mostly elves but a few humans and a single hobbit, in some simple spell casting. Orin noticed no Orcs in the lil group. Not surprising. Orcs had low chances of being born with Magic. Only species with lower chances were Dwarves at Zero unless they had a non-dwarven ancestor within 3 generations. Speaking of Orcs though Orin saw a couple of Orc teens in the field too tossing a foot ball around. Amongst them though were two teenaged Drackin too! Not too common a sight. There were only 15 million of them in the world. Still Orin knew these two must have been the twins he'd heard about from his cousin whom sure enough was one of the boys trying to weave hsi way around one of the twins. The Drackin made a dive and just barely missed. His cousin ran a bit farther before holding the ball up and proclaiming victory. Orin grinned and clapped a bit which got his Cousin's attention who called out a greeting. Orin smiled a lil and waved at his Cousin feeling just a bit shy with so many othrs around. His cousin asked how he was and asked if he was taking Rascle for a walk. He nodded and said he was doing fine and that was the plan. He was releaved when his Cousin's friends spoke up to draw him back into the game. Still his cousin shouted a "See you later cuz!" before rejoining the game.

Orin sighed happy to no longer be the center of attention. Looking to Rascle and then the tree line he considered taking the Warg for a walk through the trees. But it was a nice warm day and Rascle did deserve some fun. And so did Orin. Looking around for a second he smiled and gave a command. Rascle lowered and allowed Orin to climb on. Leash still in hand he held onto Rascle's collar as the Warg rose back up. With a nudge in the right direction Rascle needed no furhter incentive and took off into the trees happy for a chance to run. Orin grinned as they wove through the trees. The young Orc felt free and without a care. Just another day at the park for a City Orc and his trusty Warg.

Well hope you guys liked the pic and the lil story.
