One day, Cream was sitting at home with Amy and Cosmo. Cream had a hand on the left side of her mouth, holding it in pain.

Cosmo: What's wrong with Cream, Amy?

Amy: She's got a toothache.

Suddenly, Cream gets a phone call from Vanilla. She takes out her cell phone and answers.

Cream: Hey, Mom.

Vanilla: Hey, Cream. I'm calling to let you know a set up a dentist appointment for you.

Cream: That's great!

(Cream rubs her jaw in pain)

Cream: I'll be right over.

Vanilla: See you soon.

(Cream hangs up)

She gets up and walks to the front door.

Cream: See you guys later.

Cosmo: Where are you going, Cream?

Cream: To the dentist.

(She points at her mouth)

Cream: This tooth is killing me!

(Amy gets up)

Amy: Don't be a knucklehead! I could fix that thing in two minutes!

(Cream covers her mouth with both hands)

Cream: You're not going to use your hammer, are you?

Amy: Come on, Cream, you know me better than that. You're my best friend and I wouldn't hurt you, much less with my hammer.

(Cream lowers her hands)

Cream: Well, that's a relief.

Amy: Cosmo, go get a piece of string.

Cosmo: As you wish.

Cosmo runs off into the kitchen and comes back with a long piece of string in her hands.

Cosmo: I got the string!

Cream looks at the string nervously. She then turns to Amy as Cosmo gives her the string.

Cream: You know, this tooth feels better already. I don't think the string's necessary.

Amy: Just open your mouth, Cream.

(Amy tied the string to Cream's tooth)

Amy: Cosmo, grab the other end of the string and wait for me.

Cosmo: Okay.

(Cosmo picks up the string and walks behind Cream)

Cosmo: This won't hurt a bit, Cream.

(Amy makes sure the string is tight enough)

Amy: And look at it this way. We'll save Vanilla a couple of rings as well.

Cream: Well, I guess that's swell.

Amy walks up to Cosmo and grabs the string, getting ready to pull.

Amy: Get ready, Cream.

(Cream backs up a little bit)

Cream: Go ahead, guys.

Amy: Okay, on the count of three. One...

(Cream closes hey eyes)

Amy: Two...

(Amy and Cosmo gripped the string tightly)

Amy: Three!

Amy and Cosmo pulled on the string. However, Cream was pulled towards them.

Cream: Hey, guys.

Cosmo: Well, that didn't work.

Amy: Well, this calls for some stronger measures. Cosmo, tie the string to the door. Maybe that'll work.

Cosmo: Good idea.

Moments later, Cosmo tied the string to the front door.

Cosmo: That should be tight enough.

Amy: Okay. You ready back there, Cream?

Cream was hanging on to the couch.

Cream: Go ahead, Amy. I'm ready.

Amy: Right.

Amy slams the door. Suddenly, Cream was pulled away from the couch and crashed into the front door.

Cosmo: What happened?

Amy: Maybe you better hold on to her.

Cream had a dazed expression on her face.

Cream: Still think going to the dentist would be better.

Minutes later, Amy grabs the doorknob, ready to try again. This time, Cosmo is holding onto Cream.

Amy: Okay. You girls ready?

Cosmo: Slam away!

Cream: Careful, though.

Amy: Here we go.

Amy opens the door. Little did she know, Rouge was at the door. Before Rouge could anything, however Amy slams the door, knocking her back.

Amy: What was that?

(She opens the door and sees Rouge dizzy)

Amy: Rouge?

(She shakes her head and looks at Amy)

Rouge: What was that about, Amy?

Amy: Well, to make a long story short, Cream has a toothache.

Rouge: Oh.

Rouge gets up and walks inside, seeing Cream holding her jaw in pain.

Rouge: So, she does have a bad tooth.

Cream: Can you help me, Rouge?

Rouge: Sure. In fact, I got an idea that might help.

Cream: Why do I get the feeling it won't end well?

Rouge: Follow me.

Rouge tied the string to a baseball and opens the window.

Rouge: May I borrow your hammer, Amy?

Amy: Sure.

(Amy gives Rouge her hammer)

Rouge: Now, watch.

Rouge: I sock the ball.

She hits the ball with the hammer, causing it to fly out the window.

Rouge: And it yanks the string.

Cosmo: And the ball comes back and knocks you flat.

(Amy and Cream laughs)

Cream: That's hilarious. But seriously, what was she going to do?

Amy: The ball was going to pull your tooth out, but I guess it didn't work. Still, that's funny.

(Rouge hits Amy on the head with her hammer, knocking her out)

Rouge: So's your face!

Later that day, Amy was tying the piece of string to a car.

Amy: I got the string tied.

Rouge: Alright, Cream. Climb the pole.

(Cream climbs up to the streetlight)

Cosmo: Are you sure this will work?

Rouge: Don't be ridiculous! It can't fail! The driver takes off, and Cream's tooth pops out. Simple as that.

Cream: I hope you're right.

Amy: Speaking of which, here comes the driver now.

Suddenly, a man runs out of the bank. Surprisingly to the others, it turns out the man was a bank robber.

Cream: Uh-oh.

The man gets inside the car and drives off. However, the streetlight Cream was hanging on to was suddenly pulled off by the car, taking her with it.

Cream: See you guys in Station Square!

Amy: Come on, we got to help Cream!

Amy and Rouge grabbed their Extreme Gear. Cosmo held onto Amy, and they followed the car. As they did, a police car was following the bank robber. Cream held on to dear life as the car drove through town while Amy, Cosmo and Rouge were following her.

Cream: I still say we should've gone to the dentist.

Cosmo looks at Amy with a concerned look on her face.

Cosmo: You know something, Amy?

Amy: What, Cosmo?

Cosmo: We're not going to get out of this alive.

(Amy was silent for a moment before looking at Cosmo)

Amy: That's what Cream and I like about you, Cosmo. You're such an optimist.

Rouge was right behind Cream.

Rouge: Cream, I'm right behind you! Let go of the streetlight and I'll catch you!

Cream: Are you sure?

Rouge: Just trust me, okay?

Cream: If you say so!

Cream lets go of the streetlight and Rouge caught her in her arms.

Cream: Nice catch.

Rouge: Thanks.

(Amy and Cosmo caught up to them)

Amy: Did you catch Cream?

Rouge: Yep.

Amy: Great! Now, let's get out of here!

The girls fled just in the nick of time. As they left, the bank robber was caught by the police, crashing his car into a police blockade.

Cosmo: Hey, it looks like the police caught him!

Amy: Serves him right.

Rouge: Mean little devil.

Cream looks to see that they were heading for the subway.

Cream: Look out!

The girls flew through the subway, passing by a lot of people until they eventually reached the exit.

Rouge: Well, I didn't see that coming.

Amy: Recognize anybody we know, girls?

(Cream shakes her head)

Cosmo: Look out! The bridge is rising!

The bridge was opening up. Suddenly, the girls were sent flying into the air.

Cream: Boy, the air is sure clear up here.

Amy: I know, right? No smog.

Cosmo: Wait, how are we levitating?

Rouge: Cream and I can fly.

(Amy looks down for a moment before looking at the girls)

Amy: Not all of us.

Cosmo: Wait, you mean...

Amy: Unlike Rouge and Cream, I can't fly.

Amy then fell, letting go of Cosmo as she is hovering. Rouge and Cream looked down in concern.

Rouge: Here we go again!

(Rouge and Cream flew after Amy)

Meanwhile, Vanilla was waiting at the dentist's office. She looks at her watch, wondering where Cream is.

Vanilla: I wonder where Cream is? She must be running late or something. I better call her.

Vanilla takes her cell phone out of her pocket, but before she could call her daughter, Amy, Rouge, Cosmo and Cream crashed through the ceiling, surprising her.

Vanilla: What on Mobius? Cream, what happened?

Cream: Long story, Mom.

Amy shook her head and looks to see where they landed. Surprisingly, it was the dentist's office.

Amy: Hey, we've arrived at the dentist's office. How about that for luck, you guys?

Cosmo: Well, I'm glad all that is over.

Cream and Cosmo stood up when Cream notices a tooth. Surprised, she picks it up and looks at it.

Cream: Hey, my tooth's out! We didn't need a dentist after all.

(Rouge stood up with a smile)

Rouge: See, just like I planned it.

Rouge smiled, but little did she know, she lost a tooth.

Cosmo: Should we tell Rouge, Amy?

Amy: Let her have her moment.

(Cream and Vanilla looked at each other)

Cream: I vote we go out for smoothies.

Vanilla: Agreed.

They walked off.

Well, here's my first story for 2023. I heard about the "Year of the Rabbit", so I made this really funny story involving Cream the Rabbit having a toothache. Inspired by The Three Stooges. P.S. Sorry for the lack of submissions. A circuit breaker went out at my house and my family, and I also had a power outage for three days (Fine way to start the new year). Oh, well. Here's to hoping 2023 will be a better year. Oh, and enjoy the story.
