Saw the new Puss in Boots movie, and loved Perrito! He was totally cute & adorable, an endless supply of optimism and concern for his buddies. These traits are what I hold dear with myself ^_^
Decided to sketch these two buddies but ended up with watercolor practice xD These may take longer but I like experimenting.
Here's to a year of growth and appreciation for who we are. Cheers all!

Dang, thats really good. Love the line-less style, sure it takes forever! But the results look fantastic.
I went in with such low expectations for the movie, was genuinely surprised how much I enjoyed it (saw it twice in theaters!). First time I kinda found Perrito annoying, but on the second run saw his character a lot better, and enjoyed what he brought to the table to be a foil to Puss and Kitty.

Wow thank you very much for the positive feedback! Indeed, this was among my first attempts at a watercolor piece. While it did test my patience, switching colors for bits like small stripes or whiskers helped keep it exciting :D Thrilled you love the results ^_^

And you make a great point on Perrito. His soft-spoken lines let Puss and Kitty set their guard down, letting them start anew. He won me over pretty quickly with his loyalty ^-^
