"A "drowned" fish"
This fish has always enjoyed the dizziness of suffocation and the feeling of air flowing through his gills, and sometimes crawls onto land just to ineffectually breathe air for a while. As he starts losing his strength, he occasionally splashes some water on his gills to get a bit of oxygen to stay in his air-drowned stupor even longer. He'd better be careful not to push it too far, though...
