Designed some weapons for the Brotherhood and the Chaotix a long while back, along with some other characters, but when it came time to redo them I did these ones first since they seemed easier. I was helped in this process by Jordinoboy, who also suggested some really cool stuff for what the weapons should be. So let us go over them all.
Steppenwolf: A Ceremonial Sword given to him after he banished the Legion. He hung it over his seat by the Master Emerald before moving it to Haven when that was finished. It was eventually found by Knuckles in the present day, and he decided that it wasn't functional but would look good in a museum so donated it to one.
Moonwatcher: While she didn't really ever get good at fighting due to her zen nature, Moonwatcher was very good at throwing cards, so she made razor cards to use in battle. These Razor Tarot Cards were eventually lost down a ravine during a hiking excursion after Moonwatcher was no longer a front line fighter.
Harlan: Harlan became fascinated by Blacksmithing and Forging Blades, and Forged himself a Rapier to use in battle. It would become a treasure of Echidnopolis after he died, and was lost in the Legion Siege.
Rembrandt: Rembrandt was gifted this large Warhammer by Harlan, to better suit his fighting style. He would use it for the rest of his life, eventually having it destroyed in his solo siege on the legion city that would lead to his crystalization.
Aaron: Like Harlan before him, he was interested in Weapon Smithing, however he was not as skilled at knowing a good weapon from a impractical but cool weapon. As such he forged these battle claws for himself, which would fail him in the fight that led to him falling in the line of duty.
Jord-An: Jord-An was provided this saber by her Grandfather so she would have a decent weapon fitting of her fighting style, and in the hopes that a better weapon would keep her alive where her brother fell. She would eventually be buried with the blade.
Mathias: A staff made from the wood of an ancient Oak Tree that was struck by Lightning right in front of him during a spiritual meditation. He infused it with his own Chaos Magics, making it one of the most powerful and dangerous weapons in existence at the time. He then proceeded to use it exclusively as a walking stick, only calling upon it's magic for teleportation. It was stolen from his corpse by The Iron King, only to in turn be claimed by Ken Kahn as a backup staff in case his Atom Bat failed him.
Hawking: Hawkings blade was a normal Soldier sword that he took up to have a weapon, a gesture that was heavily motivated by his desire to relate to the common echidna. The city appreciated this gesture a bit more than they should have, and it inspired many paintings, murals, and statues. The blade would eventually be returned to the city, who drove it into a monument to their great Guardian.
Tobor: A Normal Woodcutters Axe given to Tobor by the man who helped with his injuries after his big fight with Moritori Rex. Tobor named the Axe Regum Finis, and in that gave it a purpose. He would eventually lose the axe in his final fight during the Legion's Siege of Echidnopolis, burying it into Moritori's shoulder, causing a griveious wound that would eventually lead to his death.
Spectre: Spectre took his sword from a smaller kingdom that opposed the Echidna Empire after he helped to conquer them. He rarely used it though, preferring to use Chaos Magic to fight, but did enjoy it as a trophy of his loyalty to the Empire. It would eventually find it's way back to it's original homeland after it was stolen by a thief.
Thunderhawk: Thunderhawk was given this Dane Axe by the Echidnopolis army to ensure he had a weapon when he charged into battle with them. It would prove very effective in his hands, with some tall tales stating he used it to split tanks in half. He would keep it in his quarters after his forced retirement and it was eventually found by Knuckles and Julie-Su. They decided to keep it for decoration.
Sojourner: Had no weapon by choice.
Jannell-Li: Jannell had to take up this weapon to try and defeat the new head of the Legion who was dead set on killing a Guardian. It was not enough though, and the only thing she could do was preform Mutually Assured Destruction by stabbing into his robotic body and dragging him over a cliff as he stabbed his claw through her chest.
Athair: Athair made a walking stick and affixed the Guiding Star Gem to it so he could always find his way in his mission for the Walkers. He still has it in his spiritual form.
Sabre: A Strong Sword to defend his family and his people, was all Sabre desired and it is what he got. Legends speak of this sword still to this day as Sabre used it against some Overland Invaders to destroy their largest weapons. Granted their largest weapons paled in comparison to the Guns the Echidna's had, and were basically just Trebuchets, but time tends to exaggerate some details. After his death the Sword was taken by a group of bandits and sealed away in a treasure cave.
Locke: Locke was obsessed with heritage, and the Knuckles clan, so he decided that for his weapon he would follow in their footsteps. He crafted this shield himself, to defend from attacks, and retaliating with his fists, or a spear if he could find one.
Knuckles: Knuckles was given his weapon from a grateful blacksmith he had saved from a Legion attack. He asked for two weapons so he could dual wield, and was given these axes. Later depictions of theses Axes would inspire a Magic Blacksmith to base one of his legendary blades on them, creating the Galatine Blades that Gawain would eventually use. Knuckles still has these axes, though he doesn't use them as often, only against the Legion since they are technically less dangerous to use against living things than his fists.
Shade: During her time in the Dark Brotherhood Shade was given this weapon, the blades are made of plasma, hot enough to cut through most metals. It is technically a Monks Spade, but more futuristic. She still uses it in addition to her Crescent Blades, in her protection of the Master Emerald with Knuckles and Julie.
Vector: I've given Vector a Gun based on a Browning 1911, AKA the Gun used by Interpol Inspector Zenigata in Lupin the Third. Given it's a Gun often used by Police Detectives this fits for Vector.
Espio: Espio reclaimed this Katana from Echidnopolis, naming it Kaze no Ha, and using it to facilitate wind attacks. She still owns this sword, using having made it a treasure of the new Shinobi Clan and her Main Weapon.
Charmy: Charmy was given this Dagger by Espio during the Legion Siege, and has never given it back. They have tried, it never works. Vector never lets her forget that this is her fault.
Julie-Su: Julie wields a Plasma Pistol, a very dangerous weapon in the wrong hands, but thankfully her hands are trained, and she never brandishes it lightly. Her skills with the weapon are not to be understated, but having grown recently she hasn't been able to use it since then and it slightly bums her out.
