Chapter 8
Operation
R.O.Y Pt 1
(Washington DC Hospital)
"Mr Baker….. Please, I need you to calm down and let us help you!"
"No way I'm going to let you "help me" I see that syringe! I know what's in it! You're trying to sedate me!"
" Mr Baker, we are only trying to help with your current…. situation. Please… we just want to make sure you are of no harm to yourself…"
"Save it Doc! We both know who you're working for! We both know you're not an actual doctor that works here! I got the results they wanted, and they're here to collect the finished product!"
The man Roy was addressing just sighd.
"Nurse, if you would be so kind as to hold Mr Baker down, we need to make sure he has very little damage done to him."
(Care A Lot Noble heart and True hearts home)
True Heart was currently in the kitchen, making some tea for her and her husband. The two of them had the day off from their two children Hugs and Tugs. They were spending the day out with their grandmother, an old bear named Gram's bear. Leaving the couple to spend some quality time together. Just as the tea pot began to whistle, True Heart heard a frantic knock on her door. Taking a mitt, and grabbing the handle of the tea kettle and moving it off the burner, she quickly made her way to the door to answer it.
When she did, she was greeted by Bright heart, Champ bear, Cheer Bear, and to her surprise their guest Kim, finally able to see what she looks like. She didn't have long to inspect the pink mouse however, noticing the distraught and urgent look on their faces, she knew something was wrong.
"Goodness! What seems to have gotten you all to look so worried? Please come in, I just made some tea"
With that, True Heart invited all of them inside, they all entered quickly, and situated themselves inside the couples spacious living room. Noble was currently reclined in his favorite chair, noticing his guest, and the worried looks they had, he decided to sit up and give them his undivided attention, shortly joined by his wife, who provided everyone with a small cup and poured them some tea.
"Now then, what has gotten you all to look so worried? Did something happen?"
True Heart was the first to address the group.
The four of them looked at each other before settling on Bright heart to explain the situation.
"Well you see, it has just recently come to our attention that Kim might not be the only one going through this change."
This got Noble and True hearts attention.
"Do you mean to say you found another human that was transformed?"
Noble heart asked. His face had a serious look on it.
"We're not sure yet… to be honest we only just recently thought about it. Because of everything that happened with Kim, and all the excitement surrounding her. Kim and I didn't take into account the person that she rescued when she told me everything."
Both of the founders looked at each other before looking back at Kim.
"Hello Kim. I know this is a bit sudden, and not the best introduction I can give you but, my name is Noble heart horse, and this is the co-founder and my wife True Heart bear. We are the founders of the Care Bear family."
Kim was a little shy, being confronted by the two leaders of the CBF. But they seemed nice enough, and Kim quickly got over her shyness
"It's nice to meet you. My name is Kim Mikoto."
"It's nice to meet you Kim. I wish we had more time to properly introduce ourselves and get to know each other, but judging by your revelations, we may not have much time to worry about all that now. Instead, would you be okay telling us what you told Bright heart? Everything leading up to your current situation?"
Kim nodded, agreeing to tell everyone in the room her situation, and everything leading up to it, trusting them enough to do so.
(Washington DC Hospital)
" Stop him! Don't let him get away!"
Frantic yelling, and movement could be heard throughout the second floor of the hospital. Among the noise, the sound of hoofs could be heard frantically clicking along the tiled floors. There were so many eyes looking at him, so many surprised faces, he had to keep moving, he had to get away. Up ahead, was yet another person trying to catch him, trying to stop him from escaping. He didn't want to hurt this one, he didn't want to hurt anybody. What happened back in the hospital room was an accident, it was out of fear, it was out of desperation, he knew what they would do if he allowed himself to be sedated. He knew the people that they were working for, he knew the lengths they would go to get what they wanted. He was ashamed for ever accepting their help. What he was most ashamed of, was dragging the people he cared for into his mess, especially Kim. He had heard from one of the nurses that she had dragged him out of the lab, meaning that she must have gotten exposed to it. Had he ruined her life? Was she okay? Did they already catch her? There was no way of knowing, and Roy felt extremely guilty. However he needed to get himself out of this situation before he could start worrying about anyone else.
"Out of my way!"
With a mighty cry, Roy charged towards the nurse in front of him, not slowing down in the slightest.

"Don't worry Champ! You can count on us!"
Funshine assured Champ bear. Champ and Cheer Bear decide to give they're Old mission with Cody to Funshine Bear and Playful Heart Monkey, finding those two best suited to that mission in their absence.
Funshine is a bright yellow bear, she has a big smiling sun for her tummy symbol.
Playful heart is an orange monkey, he has a red balloon shaped heart, with a party horn on the left side of the heart, and on the right side was a few pieces of pink wrapped taffy.
With those two on the case, Champ knew Cody would be in good hands. Champ, Cheer, Bright heart, Kim, and even Noble and True Heart were now on a special mission to find Kim's boss Roy.
After Kim told them her story, they all agreed that they should look for Roy and make sure he was okay. Kim told them the hospital that they took him to.
Noble Heart decided it would be a good idea to survey the area before they made a move, there was a slight possibility that Roy was still human. They didn't want to make a scene if everything was still calm.
They all made their way to Wish bears observatorium.
Wish Bear Is a green Care Bear, she has a shooting star tummy symbol, and was in charge of using her big telescope to look out for caring emergencies.
She was currently on duty, when the gang arrived.
" Hi Wish Bear. How's everything going down on Earth?"
True Heart greeted Wish Bear.
Wish Bear turned around and smiled, seeing the group who came to visit her.
She was especially surprised to see both the founders here as well, not to mention Kim, which gave her a real surprise, all of it was welcome though.
" Oh! Hello everybody. What a surprise! What brings everyone here? "
Wish Bear made her way to everyone, having to climb down a ladder to the first floor. When she got down, she made her way to the group.
" It's a long story Wish, and it will have to wait. Right now we need your help, you see a good friend of Kim's might be in trouble, and we would like to ask for your help to see if that's the case."
Noble heart quickly addressed the issue, Wish Bear, she immediately understood the severity of the situation.
" Of course! Just tell me, where I'm looking, and who I'm looking for"
It was Kim's turn to speak up.
" Um yes… we're looking in Washington DC, we're looking for a hospital near the Facility of Evolution, and we're looking for a man named Roy Baker."
Kim finished speaking, sounding a little timid and shy but determined to find her friend Roy.
Wish Bear nodded, getting the information she needed, she quickly made her way up to the second floor to her telescope. Now that she had a name and a location, she decided to use her inherent wish powers.
She rubbed her tummy symbol, causing it to glow, once it started glowing Wish Bear put her hands together and began to wish
" I wish to find the one named Roy Baker, who resides in a hospital in Washington DC"
For a few moments, Wishes giant telescope began to move on its own, adjusting itself accordingly two Wishes desired location. After about a minute, it stopped moving, once that happened Wish quickly looked through the telescope.
As soon as she did, she recoiled with a gasp.
"What is it Wish!? What did you see?"
Noble heart asked, a worried look on his face.
It took a moment for Wish to recover before she responded.
"The hospital your friend is staying at… it's surrounded by a bunch of scary black armored vehicles. And there's a lot of armored men with guns…. I don't know exactly what's happening but it seems like they're trying to keep something from escaping."
This immediately got everyone's attention. Something must have happened at the hospital, and they were all pretty sure they knew what happened.
"Roy must have transformed! Oh no! Roy's in trouble, we have to save him!"
Kim was starting to panic. Now knowing that her friend was in serious trouble.
"I understand you're worried about your friend Miss Kim. But we must be rational about this. Those men down there have armed weapons, and if we go down there and recklessly try to save him. I'm sure those men won't hesitate to use those weapons on us"
Noble heart tried to reason with Kim. That was not the answer she wanted to hear however.
" We can't just leave him! If we do, who knows what they'll do to him?! We have to try something! "
Kim was in tears now. She looked around to see if anyone would be with her on this. To her dismay, she only saw the dejected and apologetic looks that everyone was giving her. Even Bright heart, who desperately wanted to help Kim couldn't do much in this situation, seeing the logic Noble heart brought up. They weren't meant for situations like this.
" We can't just leave him…… please there has to be some way…."
(Washington DC Hospital)
He was almost out, he was almost free, the last few minutes had taken a lot out of him. Struggling, fighting, charging, biting, he did everything he could to escape his pursuers. Now he was on the first floor making his way through the lobby, all he had to do was get out, then he could figure the rest out. He just needed to get away from these people. Due to his excitement at reaching the bottom floor, and seeing the exit. Roy failed to notice that there was no one in the lobby, not even the staff, it was completely empty as Roy made his way towards the front automated doors.
After a few more seconds of running he finally made it outside, the fresh air hitting his face. Roy could finally take a breath….
"FREEZE!!!!!!"
Roy was surrounded. He could see dozens of armored men surrounding the entire front of the building, he could hear clicks of guns being turned off their safeties. Anyway he looked at it, there was no escape, he was caught.
As all the soldiers had their guns trained on Roy, one figure broke through the crowd walking towards him. As they got closer, Roy recognized the figure to be Linda. Of course it was Linda, she would be the first to be informed of the situation.
It didn't take long for her to finally approach Roy, she had a neutral expression on her face, and Roy couldn't tell what she was thinking.
" Well Mr Baker. You seem to have made quite the commotion. I wanted to handle things quietly without all of this noise. But due to your stubbornness, it became an incident. It's going to take a lot of convincing and money to keep people quiet about this. If you would have just kept quiet and did what we asked, you would have been sitting at our facility having free reign, and only having to do a few tests. But seeing now that you can't be trusted, and that you decided to act like a wild animal. You will be treated as such!"
Linda then turned around leaving Roy.
"Sedate him!"
Before Roy could react, he felt a prick in the left side of his neck. Soon after, Roy lost all control of movement, he was paralyzed, and soon he lost consciousness.
