I was pleasantly surprised when NotHyperion selected Ion as the raffle winner, love the outfit they came up with based on their lore's Artifice (browse their profile and read up on them, it is really interesting) which in short is a artificially created biological being. I was think of a way to possibly incorporate something like this into my story (my cyberpunk AU not my main canon lore) but without encroaching on their lore/story, I also thought of this being just a alt or more casual design for Ion's cybernetic clothing but I kept coming back to the idea of an artificially created being who is a combination of biological and cybernetics and was starting to like some sort of doppelganger idea. To me my cyberpunk AU was lacking some direction (which for me is to be expected as I am more of a D&Dish style fantasy writer then cyberpunk) and maybe this new idea for this raffle piece just might give my cyberpunk AU a shot in the arm and bring in some fresh ideas along with the addition of Ion's Kyuubi Drive to explain his shapeshifting abilities in this world, so meet the full fruits of Narche's research and the overall reason why she was so intent on experimenting on Ion and pushing him to his brink, so she could develop this, her ultimate weapon; X-I0N-Y-R9 or Xion (pronounced chi-on) for short ^^
~ An artificially created being, comprised of a fully biological body but with internal cybernetic implants to enhance all the vital parts, a masterpiece of cybernetic design, the next evolution of creating an ultimate weapon, the greatest goal of a Cyber Hunter Artificer. Awakened somewhat prematurely, to retrieve the original Ion asset and to destroy Rouge's Gallery, the X-I0N-Y Doppelganger project, Revision Nine is the perfect assemblance of traits of her dear test subject Ion, with it's own traits that to her, far outclass what the original could ever hope to attain. For starters, their body was a clean slate, they didn't have any existing augments holding them back and she could choose the proper traits and characteristics to best suite her end goals, Xion's body was prime to enhance the proper way to become an ultimate weapon. The second was that of an undeveloped mind, her being able of selecting memories and experiences that tuned more towards the nature she wanted them to be, with Ion, he had a natural brain that had memories, experiences and feelings from all the time before he was in her hands, something that was locked away where she could not access, it always got in the way of making him fully submissively to her will. The final one was the fact that Xion is ageless, being molded to stay around the age of fifteen, the same age when Ion had fallen into her hands, as that is when she felt the development cycles was at it's most prime, where the body could adapt more to cybernetic enhancements and be of an age that was far more controllable. This would prove to be the biggest backfire in the end as Xion, while unnaturally intelligent, strong, cruel and conniving for someone of his intended age, they still had childlike tendencies that were impossible to get rid of due to the aging process being stalled, they would get frustrated quite easily if things didn't go their way, when their plans and strategies had any hint of falling apart, they could not fully adapt to new developments. Xion could also be outwitted by those with more experience or those who had a more adult thinking or processing mindset and sometimes this was quite easily, Rogue's Gallery and especially Ion were able to do this on multiple occasions, usually by just treating them as nothing but a stupid ignorant child as it would throw off their game quite easily. And while being the best age to control while having the best age potential for Narche, there was an over reliance on that control, Xion needed a lot of reassurance from their 'mother' that they was making the correct choices, that what they was doing was what her will was, sometimes they would not act even when it was the perfect time to do so as they didn't know if it would upset Narche or not, they never wanted to disappoint her, Xion knew they was revision nine, revision ten could just be around the corner if they did anything that was against her will and then they would be just discarded like all the rest, that was Xion's biggest fear, a fear that the original would never have as he would always be needed, as they say, noting can replace the original. Still though, more often then not, Xion is not someone to be trifled with, they may be a cute looking small fox, just like Ion is but they has a much darker aptitude even beyond Ion's own bloodlust, Xion is not afraid to end anyone that crosses their path for any reason or who gets in the way of their 'mother's' desires, the cruelty of their methods knows no bounds, best stay clear if you can, do not fall for Xion's childlike innocence's, those glowing orange eyes can tell a story of pure terror..... ~
