Background for the upcoming commission. I didn't really go into the geography of the Zoo. I pulled some distinctive objects for me and put them together in one composition. It seems to me that Bethesda creates its post-war States on a similar principle
It's not just Bethesda. Any disaster and/or post-apocalyptic movie will cram in as many important monuments as they can, geography be damned. That's why, when the bombs drop or the zombies rise, you can see the Eiffel Tower or the Great Pyramid or the Statue of Liberty no matter where you are in their respective countries/states. So you're standing on the shoulders of giants with this picture!
It looks fantastic, too. I love the detail on the lion statues and the radioactive mushrooms growing nearby. The skyscraper in the background looks really good, too, as does the wrecked car and the elevated tunnel (monorail? I've never set foot in Philly in my life). Anyway, great work on this and I'll be looking forward to the full commission!
