ahhh ok so it is fabric. still i think it looks good even if its hell with water colors. reminds me when I started many moons ago I tried everything from paper to wood burning always testing new canvases. it didn't always turn out well but was always fun. think my funnest was a nude babs bunny etched into wood. came out horrible looking but was enjoyable to use wood. i really hope you do more of these maybe even test different paints and other tools it be a unique canvas to portray work on.

I'm going to try to blend materials in a way that allows me to use watercolours but still get the stick factor that you get when using oil paints with paint thinner. I need to discover what canvas works.. because some really are quite all right, and it's both the same fabric. You should go paint some ponies too. And.. hm.. I could use wood. Wood would be interesting..

good luck with it, I'm not really good with water colors so wouldn't know what works well. tho i did get a coloring set from my grandma (early bday gift) which has oil, water colors, markers, and pencils. I might try them out sometime as far as doing ponies I got a few sketches in my book half done and other idea's just haven't been motivated to finish. I really need to learn to use shapes so I don't gottas keep redrawing the same thing over and over till its right (kills motivation quickly). so yeah painting may be a while for me lol

yeah it is. i've never worked with oil's so not sure how it come out but it be fun to try them. got the pony idea's just need to put them on paper, mostly there joke related like soarin's nuts (peanut ad) and bloom begging for mac's ding dong (hostess snack joke). I do have one comic almost done I just need to add text and one final clean up sketch of it I could post in scraps if ya wanna see that. its a joke related one about names for the CMC's legs,wings, horn.

yeah its adorable. specially the last panel with sweetie belle's name for her horn. it really plays off the innocence of childhood. they all did Apple blooms hind hooves are BuckStar & Sir Kicks-a-lot, scoots wings are called dashie (with her squeeing the idea) and sweetie's called her horn *drum roll* hornie. got the idea both from childhood mix up and from the mare do well episode (when AJ named her legs)
