. I thought I would do something similar, while also testing if I can make traditional-looking digital art. Any improvement tips on achieving that goal?

That's a pretty steep hill to climb, but okay.
It seems like you wanted to emulate colored pencil. The brush should be changed to something that looks more like colored pencil. I think this is one you used colored pencil on: https://inkbunny.net/s/2466812 You should make it clearer that the base colors are drawn with a real tool (though they aren't). Like, uh, there should be more white space spread around because it's hard to fill it in all the way with colored pencil.
The shading seems strange to me, but you really do shade like that in that example picture. I'm not sure how it normally works, but I didn't think you'd want to mix colored pencil in layers since it isn't paint.
I don't feel like going through your whole catalogue to pick out more colored pencil art, but I'd bet your strokes are different, compared to digital. You may want to examine that. The tool probably fits different in your hand, plus there's a different type of tactile feedback during use.
