In the big scary aftermath of not only defeating Phillip but also convincing the collector to become somewhat more harmless (Key word somewhat) everyone at the owl house was looking forward to just having a nice relaxing changing of the year.
well almost everyone.
Luz Naturally was shocked to find out that the changing of the year here, unlike on earth, was just a evening of relaxation and reading.. aka no wild crazy parties or any of the traditions that she was used to.. and said traditions had caught the attention of the worlds most powerful little cutie the collector who had asked to learn more about.
"So.. Basically you all stay up super late, listen to bad music and eat tiny snacks?" He asked, sitting on her bed, hood up and tilting his head to the side.
"Well there's more then that. the adults all get to drink, and getting to stay up to midnight can be tough for some little kids.." Luz said and winked, making the collector huff and puff out his cheeks.
Since he had mostly agreed to give being raised like a kid a try, the one part he'd had NO problems with was a bedtime, and he tended to conk out sucking his thumb in the lap of whoever was deemed most comfortable that day half a hour before his 8 pm bedtime (and 7 outta 10 times with king tucked into his lap for cuddles)
"Watch it.. I can turn you into a pillow and poot on you all night again!!" He huffed.
Luz gulped at that, suppressing a shudder of terror as a idea came to her, a semi mean one but one that she knew would A) bring her justice for the afore mentioned night as a fart pillow AND would make her semi adopted little bro of sorts look SUPER duper cute.
"Actually there's a SUPER duper special position at a new years party, though you have to pay a bit of a price for it.. I was gonna ask to do it for this year here butttt I MIGHT be willing to let you." Luz said, baiting the collector in.
"Oh! I wanna do it! Me me me me! I'll be the bestest.. uh.. what's the position?" He asked, going from super eager and happy to pausing and looking sheepish.
"It's called the new years baby.."
Eda was sitting back on the couch, her feet up on it as as Lilith on the other end, the two of them semi kicking at the other off and on as Amity and King rolled their eyes at the pair. Just because they were grown ass woman and had made up didn't mean they didn't act like little brats now and then, well more then now and then In Eda's case but that was honestly to be expected by this point.
They reading while Amity and King were playing a board game (well trying to, King was mostly just moving his pieces around the board and declaring himself the king of games) when they heard steps coming down the stairs.
"10 snails says Luz and Collector are about to try and make us do human stuff." Lilith chuckled in a low tone.
"Do I look like I plan on losing money. It's not a question of if, only how far she takes it." Eda snickered, knowing her kid well enough.
Amity and King looked up from the board game and both burst out into laughter, though amity was covering her mouth and TRYING not to laugh as she blushed, King was rolling on the floor.
"..Ok what's so-" Eda asked and turned around and then her jaw dropped.
Standing there with Luz looking OH so proud of herself while wearing a party hat and a pair of glasses that spelled out happy new year.. was the collector who was currently dressed in a stash that read 'new years baby' and a very thick cloth diaper that was held in place by a massive diaper pin.
"That's funny, I don't remember doing ether today.." Eda said, raising a eyebrow. "Then again sneaking up on you IS ethers trademark move.."
"uh sister.. We're all seeing this too." Lilith said, her right eye twitching. "Would somebody like to explain what's going on?"
"Duh! I'm the new years baby! It's a position of honor for human new years parties and all I had to do was let Luz spank me before she put the diaper on me!" The collector said, beaming and grinning big time.
"..Really? Is that all she had to do?" Eda asked, smirking and trying to keep from bursting out laughing.
"Er..well, we're not really HAVING a new years party so you should go and change already!" Lilith said, ever the prune and looking away.
"You mean your not having one YET!" Luz countered and then patted the collectors butt. " 'Menber what I told you?"
"oh yeah!" The Collector said and then with a flick of his wrist streamers were set up, signs saying happy near years were all over and a long table covered in a white cloth appeared, though then he paused and looked to Luz. "Ummm what kinda snacks again big sis?"
She smiled and leaned down, whispering in his ear and then bowls of chips, cheezies, finger sandwich's from the human world appeared on half of the table, the other half filled with snacks more like you'd see on the boil isle with a big punch bowl in the middle filled almost to the rim.
paper plates and plastic silver ware pooped onto the table along with cups and as a final touch Gus and Willow popped in, looking confused.
"Alright! who's ready to p-a-r-t-y!" Luz called out, pumping a fist in the air.
"I..uh.. what?" Willow went, clearly confused.
"I was on the way to to the bathroom!" Gus whined, doing a potty dance.
"Third door on the right." Eda said, jerking a thumb in the proper direction to help the boy out. "And Luz, While I admire the spunk this took, I don't really thi-"
"Lil bro, you forgot the glasses of booze for mommy and auntie~" Luz said nudging the collector who got a sheepish look on his face and stuck out his tounge, then a travel sized mug of strong ale was in the adults hands.
"Luz! you can't just bribe us with booze an-" Lilith started to scold by Eda put up a hand.
"Actually she can. My house, my rules. Have fun but for the record, I don't change diapers. Changing THAT one's was more then enough." She said and nodded at King who naturally..
let out a squeal of rage.
The party, such as it was, took off not to long after, though Lilith tried to protest all it too was a puppy dog look from Luz asking her to be a cool auntie and she was chugging like a champ, though it turned out she had no real tolerance to speak of and was conked out on the couch half a hour later.
"She is gonna be feeling that in the morning.." Eda commented, and her, Luz, King and Hootie all locked eyes.
"1 2 3 4 not it!" Eda called out.
"1 2 3 4 not it!" Luz echoed.
"1 2 3 4 not it!" Hootie chipped in.
" 1 2.. YOU GUYS ALL SUCK!" King huffed, then got a gleam in his eye and dashed over, grabbing Lilith's mug and chugged what she had left in it.
"KING DO-" Eda started to shout but the damage was done.
the little guy dropped the mug and was swaying around, giggling and then falling on his ass, laughing.
"HA! I can't look after her if I'll be hung over like her!" He hooted.
"I have half a mind to spank you right now for that.." Eda said, even as King flopped over, the little bit that had been left over too much for him.
But that was went The collector went from letting Gus and Willow and Hunter who had now also joined the party go from patting his bottom and giving him good natured teasing poofed over.
"Oh! If you wanna give someone a spanking, it's my duty as the new year baby to take it!" He said, grinning brightly and a paddle appearing in Eda's free hand. "That's what Luz told me!"
"..Is it now?" Eda asked, narrowing her eyes and Luz smirked.
"Can't punish me, he'll just take it~" She said in a sing song voice.
"Only for tonight~" Eda sang back.
"what's going on?~" Collector sang as well, not wanting to be left out.
"..What's going on is that your a very good little guy but it's well past your bed time a-" Eda started, only to be cut off.
"NO! No no no no no!" The collector said, stomping a foot. "I'm the new years baby and have to be up till the new year, and you have to spank me! that's how this works!!"
"..Is he actually BEGGING for a spanking?" Hunter asked willow.
"I don't think they really hurt him." Willow replied.
"Sides, he might be like amity and just LIKES being spanked." Gus added, then put his hands over his mouth as Amity squeaked and glared at him, then at Luz.
"..Remember if you want to punish me he takes it!" Luz said quickly, pointing at the collector.. who was gone, being lead to anther room for his spanking by Eda who wanted to avoid a cosmic temper tantrum. "..Ah nertz.."
As time counted down the witches and warlocks and the like might not of had a glowing ball to drop, but they did have four glowing cheeks to admire, Luz and the collector sucking on bars of soap shaped like pacifiers and with diapers around their ankles.
After learning that luz had blabbed about what a little sub she was Amity had decided to get Luz to offer to join in on being the new years baby with the collector.. or she'd explain to the little semi god that Luz had tricked him.
naturally the collector had been happy to share his honor at first but thinking on the spot Amity revealed that luz had told her the privilege could be shared if it was stepped up a bit, hence the mouth washing and the blazed buns on display off and on.
add in Eda decided that the kids having some drinks (VERY WEAKER) then what she was having was a 'spankable offense' meant that both big sis and little bro of sorts were getting their cheeks tanned and blistered and again, it was times so that while their buns were cooling off after the last spanking that the countdown would be on.
The collector had weaken himself up a bit so that his buns that HADN'T been showing any sign of being hurt could be tanned after getting jealous of Luz's red buns of all things (and he wanted to be the BEST new years baby) though he still took it all with giggles and coo's of harder while Luz just bawled.
"10! 9! 8! 7! 6! 5! 4! 3! 2! 1! HAPPY NEW YEAR!" the buzzed teens and drunk adult called out, cheering and tossing confetti that the collector had provided.
and while everyone was cheering (and Hunter and willow where kissing) Amity came over and leaned down, smooching Luz's cheek.
"Happy new year sweetie.. thanks for showing me how fun being a dom is!" she whispered, getting a glare for Luz even as suds formed around her mouth. "By the way, If you ever wanna see MY butt in diapers after a spanking.. convince the collector that a new years baby lasts for a week~"
Giggling and walking away Luz huffed, but then the mental image of a sobbing amity in sagging diapers and sucking her thumb hit her and she started to form a plan.
