Well, here we are. A little something to wrap up this year ^^ This piece is actually an old one. I drew it for the SonAlly Week event that used to take place on Tumblr and... I think it shows ahah! But despite the clear imperfection of it, I am very proud and I feel like it holds a special meaning to everything.
Sonic and Sally mean so much to me, not just as a couple but as characters. They are the vessels through which I discovered my favorite tropes, and through which I I could experiment and find new ways to express myself - to try out things I myself still wasn't able to.
And in a way, with every new piece, I always try to bring them some justice for the loads of infamy they (and more so Sally) had to go through during their relevant days. People... don't really like this couple. And that's ok! We don't have to all like the same things. But, oh gosh, the amount of crap and bs that some loved to throw at them was, heh, quite heavy!
But all that did was bring me to just love them harder - and I can safely say that'll never change!
When I made my InkBunny account, I didn't really have a clue of how it would go. I just knew I wanted a safespace where I could just shower these two with the mutual love I think they deserve (yes, sexy times do count too lol) but I would be lying if I said I wasn't surprised that people started watching and supporting me... because of them!
Knowing that some of my most liked works are SonAlly material makes me so happy I feel like I have accomplished something in giving them some justice!
As a small artist, you guys know how much I value your opinion, your comments and support on every piece I post. Even when I think it's not the best, even when it's not that good, you've always been there to back me up and inspire me to do better, to be the good artist I aspire to be - this is the first time in years that my experience on an art site (albeit a NSFW one) was literal fire! And it was thanks to your support <3 You guys made my last year on InkBunny an amazing, chaotic (and horny) dream! I finally felt accepted and supported and I will try my best to come out with new ideas to keep you all entertained and satisfied xP
