Dewey was almost impressed when he walked by their room and saw Louie doing, what looked like, actual physical labor inside. At first, when he saw the scattered presents littering the floor, he thought that Louie was doing some late Christmas present wrapping. It was Christmas Eve, after all, and all the presents everyone had cobbled together for each other were all placed under the tree.

His eyes, however, caught something quite hard to miss when he stopped to stare for just a tad longer. With his eyes wide and his jaw dropped, he bobbed his way into the room to stare at a large prize game.

It was just sitting here in the middle of their room!

“A skill crane!” Dewey shouted with excitement.

“HEEP!” Louie jolted, startled so much he jumped and his pants lowered slightly. When he landed, he quickly turned around and fixed the instability of his waistline so that his Backyardigans briefs wouldn’t show. He was also very upset with the intrusive middle child.

“Where did you get it?” Dewey asked, almost slobbering over the obstruction. “Is it for ME?! Of course it is! D’aaw! You shouldn’t have! I–!” Dewey kept going on and on and Louie knew it wouldn’t stop unless he clamped his hand over his beak the way he did next.

With Dewey muffled and confused, Louie dragged him over towards the door and shut it to keep the sound from escaping. It was just the two of them, alone in their room with the silent hum of snowfall outside their window as ambience.

“Will you keep quiet? We don’t need the whole mansion finding out about this!” Louie snapped.

Dewey scrambled about in Louie’s grip for a second before poking his head out from under his arm. “Oh! Totally agree! You’re right! It’s better to get this puppy wrapped up and under the tree, if it’ll fit, so that I can surprise them with my awesome gift in the morning! Huey and Webby will be so jealous! And I know Launchpad’s gonna find SOME way to crash this thing. I don’t know how but he finds a way.”

Louie rolled his eyes. “This isn’t for you, idiot.”

Dewey’s jaw dropped. “Say wha–?!”

Louie looked back and forth before letting Dewey go and sighing. “I’m trying to save up money to get a PS5.”

“Pfft! Good luck with that,” Dewey sputtered his lips and flung his hand down. “Last I checked, those are like six to seven hundred dollars on eBay and none of your schemes ever end with you keeping the money you earn.”

“It’s always one comment too many with you!” Louie gripped his fists but then willed himself to calm down. “Look, this Skill Crane is going outside and I’m going to place it in a wide open, public area. Like the park or something. Other kids like to have Christmas gatherings around there in Duckburg right?”

“Uh, sure. I guess…” Dewey trailed off. “Wait, so this Skill Crane is something you made yourself?”

“No. I asked Gyro to make it,” Louie crossed his arms with a pout. “And when he refused, I said it’d fulfill his quota to Uncle Scrooge to give the family a gift on Christmas. He sent me a box of parts with instructions and I spent the whole day making it and now I’ve got a cramp. I was all sweaty and kept having to pick work wedgies out of my butt. It sucked!” Louie whined, tugging at the back of his pants.

“Yeah. Physical labor is a doozy isn’t it?” Dewey smiled. “So all these gifts are going inside that thing then? What’s in them?”

Louie shrugged. “Meh. Random junk I found in the garage. Useless stuff.”

“Didn’t you already try selling stuff in Scrooge’s garage before?” Dewey asked.

“I tried to, yeah. The rest that was in there was just the leftovers. You know. Broken, empty Pez dispensers. A rusty toaster. I think I put some mushrooms I found on the floor in a few of those boxes maybe. I dunno.” Louie explained this while looking passive to it.

It sounded horrible to Dewey honestly. He looked to the side and pondered the ethical nature of what it was Louie was planning to do.

“You want to get kids to put money into this Skill Crane so you can take it and save up to buy a PS5…” Dewey said aloud.

“Yes. Pretty sweet scam right?” Louie grinned.

Dewey winced. “On Christmas though?”

Louie smacked his lips and waggled his finger. “Nuh-uh. Christmas Eve. There’s a difference. Besides, Christmas is commercialized so much it might as well be evil right? There’s nothing wrong with taking advantage of the holiday season. Capitalists do it all the time. I’m gonna be a graceful business man when I grow up,” Louie said, putting his arm around Dewey. “Don’t you want to help your little brother achieve his dream!”

Dewey thought it over. “Hmm… I dunno.”

“If you help me you can have PS5 privileges. Split the playtime 60-40. No Huey allowed,” Louie grinned.

Dewey’s eyes widened. Then he grinned evilly. “Let’s DEWEY this!”

“Atta boy!” Louie smirked, eyes narrowed in the most devious he’s looked in quite some time.

“One question though,” Dewey asked. “How are we going to get this thing out of our room?”

Louie blinked and looked around.

He was right. The Skill Crane was bigger than the door frame.

Louie face palmed.

“Goddammit,” He muttered. “I should have made this thing in the garage or something. God, that’s such a stupid Dewey move to make.”

“I know!” Dewey exclaimed. “I’m so disappointed in you.”

It took a bit, but the two of them did finally manage to relocate their giant Skill Crane. It was in a lightly snowy area with a ton of kids around. Thankfully, the cover of darkness was their friend here. They entered the park through the back and crept out of the cover of the trees to set this thing up beneath a bright area. They had to carry it using a wagon and when it came time to plop it down, unsurprisingly, Louie made Dewey do most of the heavy lifting.

Then, it was just a matter of jumping inside the device through the back and waiting. The area was so big and the place so crowded that there was no way their device wouldn’t be seen.

“This thing feels really cheap,” Dewey whispered as the two of them were submerged within the boxes. “Are you sure it’s not going to fall apart? The paint is even peeling off.”

“It’ll be fine. This thing only needs to last us a single night,” Louie said quietly.

“Will enough people play this thing to give us enough for a PS5?” Dewey asked next. “I know quarters add up but still.”

“Who said the entry fee was a quarter? Nuh-uh. A dollar and twenty-five cents, all the way!” Louie grinned.

“Really?!” Dewey looked surprised. “Who would even bother with that?”

“For presents this big, a lot of people!” Louie smirked. “It’s the principle of offering something huge for something comparatively little. Who cares about a measly dollar and a quarter when you get a huge present that looks like it would cost twenty bucks anywhere else?”

“But what’s inside isn’t even worth the quarters I thought we were taking,” Dewey added.

“Yup,” Louie’s devious Grinch-like grin got wider. “But they won’t know that until they open the present.”

Dewey smiled. “Well, that sounds kind of mean… but then again, it’s going to a good cause. I’m sure they’ll feel better knowing that it all went to some kids on Christmas just looking to have the luxury of an expensive game box in their billion dollar mansion.”

“That’s the spirit!” Louie rubbed Dewey’s head. He was happy to be such a positive influence in his life.

The two of them waited for a short while and noticed an uptick in interest in their Skill Crane. They got rather giddy with excitement as they peaked out the glass casing. Then, they ducked down into the prizes when they saw someone approaching.

“Quick! Hide!” Louie said.

“I am! I am! Oh man! This is really exciting, actually!” Dewey snickered.

Someone had approached the machine and was now fiddling with the two handle controls. They could tell by the way the crane mechanism jimmied a little bit. It wouldn’t move down unless the money was inserted though. When that happened, Louie would grab it himself. There was no collection area for the money to fall in. It ended up in the same place as the prizes literally so Louie could snag the dough instantly and shove it into his pockets.

He got increasingly excited when he saw the dollar and the quarter slip through the slot underneath the horde of presents and fall into his hands.

Dewey and Louie both looked at one another and giggled like school children.

Then they heard the person who dispensed the money speak and their hearts skipped a beat.

“A bit expensive for a skill crane but whatever,” The voice said. “I might as well try it. See if I can get Dewey and Louie something extra for Christmas.”

Dewey and Louie yelped and then clamped their hands over their mouths, eyes wide and pupils shrunk. Their faces were doused with sweat.

No way!

That was Huey’s voice!

“HUEY?!” Dewey had to exclaim, panic on his face. “What’s he doing here?!”

“He went out for a walk! You know he likes looking at the town on Christmas! I didn’t know he’d show up HERE though!” Louie exclaimed.

The crane began to move.

The two of them got quiet and it lowered itself down.

They tried to scramble out of the way of the giant claw, pushing against and past each other to see where it would land. They tried to both move away without looking up to see where it specifically was because they were too afraid of having their heads exposed to the one person who would immediately recognize them.

Unfortunately for them, Huey was a bit of a Skill Crane genius.

He shot the crane down into the gaggle of gifts and pressed the two red buttons on the joysticks to clamp around his gifts. Thinking he got a nice haul, literally feeling it in his grip, he hoisted his prizes out.

The small crowd that gathered to watch Huey be the first one to play that weird looking crane game was in awe when he ended up pulling up two whole small ducklings.

Dewey and Louie were squirming and arguing with each other, completely incensed with the other’s stupidity, before they turned and saw Huey.

With wide grins and sweat drenched faces, they both said in unison, “Hey Huey…! Fancy meeting you here!”

Huey stared at them.

They stared back, grinning and sweating with obvious fear pulsing through them.

Huey narrowed his eyes.

Despite it already snowing, it somehow got even colder. Dewey and Louie felt an intense shiver run down their spines.

“What are you two doing?” Huey asked.

“... We were just uh…” Louie looked around. “It’s… look, it’s NOT what you think!”

“What was I thinking?” Huey challenged, a brow raised.

“Well,” Dewey began. “You were definitely NOT thinking that this was a scam Louie set up to fleece people out of their money so that we could buy a PS5 and bar you from playing it. If THAT’S what you were thinking then this has GOT to be super embarrassing for you cause it’s SO WRONG! Like it’s the WRONGEST thing you could have thought of.”

It got quiet.

Louie groaned and said, “Dewey, I hate you.”

“I hate me too sometimes,” He responded.

Huey pressed the button and tightened the grip on the crane around them, squeezing the two frightened boys and making them squirm even more.

“NO! Wait! Please! We’re sorry! Really!” Dewey shouted.

“We were gonna let you play the PS5! Honest!” Louie pleaded.

“Oh? How thoughtful,” Huey smiled, eyes traveling down to the box of diapers that was peaking out of the collection of gifts. “Unfortunately, I’ve just thought of a much grander game to play.”

The two ducks gulped.

“H-Huey! Wh-Whatever you’re thinking of doing… please don’t!” Louie begged.

Huey grinned and lowered the two of them towards the box of diapers so that they could get a face to face look at them.

“... No. NO!” Louie’s panic rose. “PLEASE! ANYTHING BUT THAT!”

Huey’s smile just widened.

Dewey panicked as well. “I’ve been holding it for a really long time but I don’t need to wear THOSE! Honest! My bladder issues just stem from potty training! I don’t wet during the day most of the time! PLEASE!”

Huey laughed. “What a grand tall tale. From where I’M standing, you’re both in need of diapers, little wet ducklings.”

The two of them were momentarily confused by that… until they heard the loud hissing that had been going off ever since they were spotted by Huey.

They hadn’t realized it when it happened but now that it had been pointed out and the warmth on their crotches was increasing, they couldn’t help but glance down and notice that they were indeed wetting their pants…!

“Scared ya real bad didn’t I?” Huey tightened his grip on the controls. “I guess I just have that effect on NAUGHTY children!”

Dewey and Louie began blushing and their eyes darted about, noticing the people and kids around starting to laugh and point. Not to mention, they had just wet themselves over top of all their junky gifts. No one wanted these soaked presents anymore, if they ever did at all.

“You two are going on the naughty list for a long time and thanks to me being here I’m going to make sure everyone remembers it,” Huey opened the claw and his two brothers yelped as they were in free fall for a split second. “Now to show you just how much skill I have at the Skill Crane!”

With lightning fast reflexes, Huey began to use the claw to expertly grab the box of diapers and the clothes of his brothers while grabbing at them again. The speed with which he managed to do this was, for lack of a better term, impossible.

As this happened, Louie began crying out and pleading his case. He blushed and freaked out, completely emasculated by the public stripping that was currently happening. The breeze he felt when his soaked pants, wet Backyardigans undies, and sweater flew off was unpleasant.

Dewey was handling this even worse. As someone who craved attention, when he got attention he didn’t want his brain didn’t know how to compute correctly. As such, the goofy expressions he made were of him going insane.

Dewey’s eyes darted towards all the laughing and pointing people who stared and watched him get stripped of his clothes, which included a pair of drenched Rainbow Dash briefs. When a My Little Pony themed diaper ended up wrapping around his butt, his brain short-circuited. He lost his will to handle this and he went cuckoo.

His eyes began to cross and roll as his jaw hung open with a derpy smile on his face and his tongue out.

“DWAHAHAHAA~! I’MMA DIAPER DEW-WERP!” He exclaimed, like a crazy person.

Thankfully, Huey had finished diapering him and dropped him down to the pile of piss prizes below.

Louie, however, wasn’t so fortunate.

When Huey finished his diapering, he made sure the claw latched onto his new Paw Patrol diaper in a way that kept him suspended and visible to the crowd.

He delighted in witnessing the blush creep back on to Louie’s face.

“So happy you had a package of pampers as one of the prizes,” Huey mused. “Classic Louie. Always thinking ahead.”

Louie was frozen.

He was unresponsive as the laughs and jeers headed his way.

Already, despite having just wet his pants, more pee was waterfalling into his diaper.

Huey snorted. “You know, this isn’t a bad idea. We should always have a package of pampers on the side for whenever your latest scheme fails. It never fails to be prepared. Right bro?”

Louie’s eyes crossed. His brain had shut down too.

“Of course I’m right,” Huey snickered and then turned to face the crowd. “I hope you enjoyed the show. I’ve got some naughty babies to take home and shove into their cribs though. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!”

Welp.

Someone wasn’t getting a PS5 this year.
