As an idea of this pic, Alai-san(from Kemonofriends), a soldier who was ordered to fight against D forces without evacuating most of the civilians in Sta● ngrad during the DS war around 1942,3. After reading "The Battle of Germany and the Soviet Union" in Iwanami Shinsho, I learned that both countries combined nationalism and their ideologies to justify fighting and other actions. In this picture, Mr. Alai is feeling indignant and frustrated that his country's order, which he swore loyalty to because he thought it was just, was to "fight D's army without evacuating civilians," meaning that many of his own citizens would be killed if the battle turned into an urban war. This is the moment when she is feeling resentful and motivated to do something about it.
