Artwork (with permission of the artist LaivaWolf) of Disney's Bambi: A MOTHER & her son - or: The best place on earth (2022-11-30).
In a task of trying to deal with emotional trouble (at home) I stumbled across LaivaWolf's stunningly artwork of Walt Disney's Bambi and his MOTHER and got the permission of recoloring real quickly.
I have to admit that I am neither able to watch the movie (1942) completely nor could I read Felix Salten's original story since childhood and until today - and I tried it a lot...😢
Also, as a child we had a picture book of Disney's movie - in the time of production Walt Disney's mother died and in literature it's asked if and how he dealt with his mothers death in this movie based on his life-experiences - and as far as I remember, I only skipped through or flipped over the pages...🙈
It seems that I am the one who cannot deal with the death of Bambi's MOTHER...😰but this picture of LaivaWolf is so full of atmosphere, of MOTHER's love for her son and he seems to be in the best place on earth right now 😍
The recoloring was difficult on a technical level, too but I like the result and how I dealt with difficulties...and if Bambi could go through the death of his mother - with his father and his later mate Faline appearing - this shows how much is possible...but it is said that Faline becomes „indistinguishable from Bambi’s mother“ as an adult...
