Quartz and Devilline went to Witch School together, and Devilline was an outcast who regularly got picked on.
One day, for a school talent show, Devilline wanted to play her guitar, but while she was practicing for the show, some bullies came along and broke her guitar.
Quartz, who had been listening to Devilline play, decided to console her.
Thus began their friendship, which lasted well into both of their adulthood, until their falling out which lead to them both going their separate ways.
