I wouldn't say it has no plot point - you see, I am personnally not waiting for those sex scenes, but since it's part of the whole tournament thing, it would have been a right and interesting moment to see his thoughts about that part, how he feels like doing that for the very first time (I mean, he has a wife, a kid and he has to fuck his defeated oponents, who are most of the time males, probably a first for him), and certainly a turning point in his psychology - that's no small moment at all! In fact, I personnally believe that's on the contrary one of the most plot-wise and justified sex moment of this comic, one I am surprised you, who is known for taking a great if not most interest in your character's psychology, didn't take the chance to explore!
