An off-panel for the little comic strip I made 'Jaden meets his double'. I made this pose during the experimentation I did which caused that accidental comic page to materialise. Funny thing is, this 'panel' or one-off essentially inspired me to get writing a little story based on it, with the goal of completing it by Halloween (too late now of course). I ended up writing random parts of the story from my head in word documents, Windows sticky notes and with this scene in particular being written in a random notepad document. Question is, will this be the last time Jaden's 'EXE' clone is seen? Maybe... Maybe not...
That said, here is the written section I wrote for this one scene. And yes, the scene from the comic page will make its way into the story too, albeit slightly rewritten:
Jaden stood, pressed against the tree – seemingly stuck in fight-or-flight – barely able to move out of fear, let alone speak. His enlarged clone looked at his captive with piercing red eyes and a devilish smirk, towering above him in an unfittingly romantic fashion. Jaden was pinned to the trunk, terrified about what this clone would do to him.
Had this situation occurred on any other day, Jaden would have probably joked about the irony of it all: he had joked in the past that he would dominate himself given the chance, but this was something else. At that moment, while in that position, he considered making a getaway attempt. Looking up at his taller, black-eyed clone, he quietly began to speak. Jaden's first instinct was to run for it. “Well, uh, this was fun and all, but I should probably go-ah!” The copy slammed his other hand against the tree, under Jaden's arm, pinning it there. Jaden couldn't move. He watched in horror as the clone appeared to grow bulkier in front of him. The clone smiled - an unnaturally wide and devilish smile.
“Leaving already?” asked the copy in a deep, soft-spoken voice that did little to soothe the fear in Jaden. As he spoke, Jaden had noticed the additional bulk, his chest threatening to smother Jaden should he have leant any further forward. It was very claustrophobic. Jaden felt that somehow the copy was stronger and more powerful than could ever be imagined.
