Im probably all wrong, but, I kinda see it as The Tree and The Chaos guy would be siblings (Life and Death, Yin to Yang, etc.)..and this whole war is nothing but a disagreement turned argument because neither side wishes to acknowledge that the other could be right about something, nor can they find middle ground. (Maybe he wanted on the council and she was against it, for instance.) lol. At least that's my take on the whole situation.
