It all started with a simple birthday wish. The kind any child might make on their birthday...
Ruth has just turned twelve that day. Despite her age, it would be hard to call the goat "little". Weighing more than most adults, the black and white goat sat in two chairs at the end of the decorated table, one massive cheek of her rear in each seat.
The denim of her overalls creaked and strained against her bloated gut, swollen with ice cream and cookies before her cake had even arrived. Chubby hands stroked briefly along her ballooned middle as she let out a rumbling belch, pressing on her belly with a groan of delight and closing her eyes briefly.
"You ok?" a voice called from her side, before Ruth felt another hand on her belly, causing her to gasp. Her cheeks blushed a soft pink under her fur as her eyes shot open wide, quickly pulling her hands off her belly as if they'd been caught reaching into the cookie jar.
Quickly looking up, the flustered goat's eyes met with Alex's. The older wolf was looking down at her quizzically, Ruth giving a sheepish grin and nodding "Uhm...f-fine! I had a little trapped gas. But you heard me take care of that." she says with a soft laugh. Alex chuckled a bit, quickly pulling his hand away as well "Oh, alright alright... Just don't overdo it too much, we don't need you sick on your birthday!"
"It'd really suck if you puked on your gifts or something..." another girl piped up. The doe made Ruth look skinny by comparison, needing two chairs herself, yet the sides of her hips and rear overwhelmed the seating, hanging off the sides like saddlebags. Dressed in a black shirt featuring some sort of grinning cartoon bunny holding a chainsaw, the design looked comically stretched over her brown-furred gut, unable to cover all of it. A skirt below did little to hide her blubbery fishnet-covered thighs, not that she minds.
"Aw come on Dawn, what's the chances of that happening two birthdays in a row?" Ruth huffed, crossing her arms beneath her small, flabby breasts. "You just think it'd be funnier the second time! Besides, they had wrapping on them, they were fine. Maybe i'll let you borrow a shirt that fits!" Ruth stuck her tongue out at Dawn playfully after this. Normally she'd never talk like that to a friend, but Dawn seemed to like it better when she teased her.
"Hey, how else am I gonna show off my belly button piercing?" Dawn says, resting a hand on the side of her titanic gut, most likely containing the other half of all the treats Ruth had gorged herself on earlier.
"Wait, you have a navel piercing?"
"Yeah. It's in there SOMEWHERE."
A few minutes later, her final friend was dropped off by her parents, who proceeded to hang around in the living room talking about boring adult things. Entering the kitchen and the party, the taller girl gave a timid wave to the others. A striking black and white orca, a tubby, blubbery girl taller than the other two, dressed in a white shirt that looked read to bust it's buttons if she breathed too deeply and a green plaid skirt.
"Hey Mina! Oh man, you should've got here sooner! We had these AWESOME- UUUURRP!... Eh, sorry... AWESOME cookies my mom made! They were like half icing I swear!" Ruth piped up quickly, causing the orca to give her a slight smile, brushing some of her long brown hair out of her eyes.
"Oh... erm, sorry. I didn't miss the fun did I? T-there was some special assembly at school about drugs or something..." she sighed, pulling up a seat for herself, unbuttoning one of the lower buttons of her uniform before she dared take a seat, just in case.
"Nah, we haven't even got the cake out yet! You're just in time! Sorry you had to do extra school though... that place sounds so annoying sometimes!" Ruth says, before one of her floppy ears twitched a bit, hearing the sounds of a flimsy plastic container being moved, followed by footsteps approaching.
