I had a dream about a cute anthro Meowth recently, fully clothed except for obligatory bare paws, and it seemed like a fun thing to spur a commission. I also pondered weighty matters such as how much actual money one would get as a result of their signature move, Pay Day*, and how an enterprising kittymon might rustle up some dough using it without actually battling. Perfect excuse for showing off some cute peets! Let's just hope no Smeargle regards him as a rival trying to sneak in on their cute-footed territory!
I also thought it'd be fun to have my kitty be in naturalistic colours, since a pokemon as popular as Meowth would surely be in all sorts of colours and patterns just like a real life cat. Instead of the Japanese style golden coin, I thought it'd be cool to have one in the seven sided shape one sees in the British 50p coin.
* It turns out that the Japanese versions of the games explicitly use the symbol for Yen with currency, so people roll with that being the equivalent value of cash.
