???: Good news, Hawk Moth! I have wrenched the Miraculous away from Ladybug and Cat Noir by prying them from their cold, dead ears and finger!
Hawk Moth: Excellent, my loyal villain. Now, bring them to me!
???: Right away, Hawk Moth! Just one question, though... how do I do that?
(An awkward pause occurrs as Hawk Moth is stumped)
Hawk Moth: Huh. Didn't think I would get this far. (tries to brush it off) No matter. Now that the Miraculous are finally within my grasp, I can simply send out a... er... I can simply... uh, let me get back to you on that. (shuts off the eye-mask lines) Let me see, after my villain acquires the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous, I get them here to me by... by... (still stumped) Drat. You ever get so set on an end result, you forget about some steps that have to take place beforehand?
(He sits down on a stool to contemplate his plan)
Hawk Moth: Was I just evilizing Parisians willy-nilly with no way for them to give me the Miraculous? That doesn't sound like I thought this through. (gasps) Wait! Could the Akuma simply carry the Miraculous to me? Do I only need to will them out of the villain after needing no further use for them?
(He tests his idea by offering a coin for one of the butterflies to pick up... but it slips through their legs every time they try)
Hawk Moth: (sighs in disappointment) No, that won't work. Was I supposed to give my villains a drone-building power so they could send me the Miraculous? Every time? Granted, Dark Owl had one, but that sounds like a stretch for every villain.
(Later, Gabriel emerges from his office and approaches Nathalie's desk)
Gabriel: I need to borrow this. (takes Nathalie's tablet and opens up a short list)
(The list reads:
1. Set a villain after Ladybug and Cat Noir
2. Take the Ladybug and Cat Miraculous
3. ???
4. Use the Ultimate Miraculous Absolute Power to revive Emily)
Gabriel: Huh. Nothing about the how to here from there?
(He shuts the tablet off and puts it back on the desk before shutting himself back in his office with the door locked)
Gabriel: (lost in thought) Hmm... You know, I can't remember a time where I wasn't evilizing Parisians to take Ladybug and Cat Noir's Miraculous. But did I ever have a plan for the villains to bring them to me? And now that one finally got them, how do I set that plan in motion? For the first time since I acquired the Butterfly Miraculous, I don't know what- (notices his giant portrait of Emily slightly ajar and remembers the safe behind it) WAIT! I REMEMBER MY PLAN!
(Later, the Butterfly Sentimonster squeezes itself through the inner sanctum's window with the Miraculous held in its tightly curled proboscis. Once it's all the way inside, it uncurls the appendage and drops the jewels... right into Shadow Moth's hand!)
Shadow Moth: Ha ha ha HA! YES! Yes! This makes so much sense now.
