So, being Cyralon, God of Loyalty and Tricksters is fun and all, but I think it's time I branch out a little and add a new male to my list of OCs and identities. Thus, I adopted this fine looking fellow.
Everyone, say hello to my newest character and avatar, Van Firelick.
Van is a bit of a screw up, unless he's under the gun. Immense amounts of spells, arcane knowledge and crafting skill... Fairly poor recall unless he focuses or is under stress. He wants to help others with his magic; it just tends to backfire a lot and make people into girls and slaves. He cares a lot about trying to help others out, and solving their troubles. He's a nice guy who seems to always question why polymorphing and mind magic are the ones he seems 'gifted' at...
Slaves he creates are a case by case basis. Those who either are violent about the sudden transformations, like say drawing a sword and trying to gut him, get hammered by the worst of his magic and end up irreversible. Those he tries to help find a good home, a new place to settle down, or like all other cases they end up absolutely smitten, he binds eternal like a familiar and lets live in a manor he made in a pocket dimension, where he can summon a harem of warriors with various skills to his aid from. As you might expect of a dog, they usually end up falling for him and wanting him to control them, because he's so freaking loyal.
One misses having strawberries? He'll try to find some in season before resorting to magic to help. Another feels she's lacking in strength or defense? He'll try to enchant their gear, or make a token of power to give them a needed ego boost. His spells make him a monster, but his actions are very much a sweet guy who's just lonely and wants to make others happy, if he can. And whatever you do, never cross him by hurting his harem, friends or anyone he cares about; he's a case of "Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass" as making him mad laser focuses his mind so he can cast exactly what he wants, at that moment, and like a D&D Sorcerer, either cast it twice at the same time or fuse two or more spells into one.
He's gifted and skilled, but has difficulties managing it on the whole. Here's to looking forward to more of him in the future! Ah, and why is his Wizard title "the Pure"? Because he's pure of heart as a good boy, and embodies the best things dogs are known and loved for.
