Here is a little thing I have been working on for SIX FREAKING MONTHS on and off. Finally managed to complete a cycle of it somewhat and actually render it as a final thing. Reason its taken me so long to get this far, getting this seemingly simple short animation out is due to the many technical problems I have had getting to this stage.
After animating the first rep, I would get problems with the graph editor in Source Filmmaker, where the graph would decide to go all wonky and literally twist itself into loops, which made the animation go into pure cursed territory, with no seeming way to fix it. I felt the animation became a lost cause after that but never deleted it.
Its still not as final as I wanted it to be, as I only ever did manage to get one bench press cycle. For that reason this video is actually looping said rep cycle. This was the only way I could actually get this finalised. There was going to be an addition where I would actually animate Jaden doing at least 5 reps (suggesting that this was 'being filmed' as he was about to finish), then docking the barbell on the stand before sitting up and giving a friendly gesture to the camera. Of course this never came to be sadly. But Im glad to say its out there now and isnt a complete lost cause. I hope you enjoy this either way. :)
